Ouch... no Wick love.
I'll say this about my now long gone Wick. Had it been a little lighter weight and I had a ton of money to put into electronics that suited it better, I would have kept it. Lowest action I ever attained. Fastest neck I ever played. Ergonomics, meh. Did I mention fastest neck ever? I had a Proline model from '93. That's the all maple one with the whatever it was FB that was just beautiful. I refinished it to with a walnut colored stain. It had a highly figured top.
All that said, my Carvin SB is the ultimate jazz bass. Nothing I would want to upgrade on it. It's made to my specs and is my dream bass. I do miss my OLP bass, but only the tone. The neck was cumbersome (made my P feel like a jazz width) and the weight was an anchor, especially with my sh!tty back.
Fixed my hand truck too. Now both Carvins are handled in one trip.
