Stoner/Doom Bassists #64 - sensitive artsy emo chicks

Sup fellas!

Had a small impromptu show at a new venue last night. It was like a sneak peek type thing of the new place. Awesome place. We rocked the sh*t out of it and made a bunch of new contacts. Got three shows offered up to us before we left lol. Felt good.

Yeah, dude. This new venue is gonna be something special. Kinda tucked back in the middle if nowhere. Huge, tuck and roll bar. Small stage, but they're gonna build a bigger one. Upstairs area is gonna be a sleeping area for touring bands. Pretty awesome stuff.

I guess the place used to be occupied by the hells angels long ago. So its got some cool history.
Congrats on the gig, man tuck n roll bar, so old school, awesome

Was it you that really dug the 15inch Carvin Cabs?

Was Joe like he said.

I like the idea of carvin, I stupidly chose their 4 ohm 2x10 and soon realized I had no use for it. I would totally rock a couple of their 15's in green with a matching 100xb head.

Looks like I'm getting an old metal jack gk 800rb for $300 tomorrow. My supposedly 90's big box reissue rat I got is missing the lm308 and has the op07, so need to fix that somehow. Anyone done it before?

Congrats on the GK. That LM308 chip is just one piece so suck out the old solder on the pins. remove the OP07 and replace and solder, shouldn't have to mess with anything else I believe.

Put in a socket instead, no chance of burning up the chip. Plus you can swap out other chips for kicks.like tube rolling except more pointless. Really though if you aren't handy with a soldering iron do the socket.

Yea just need to find the best source for one, I can solder, and my dad is an engineer so he can help when he gets back from Denver. Might try the socket to make it tweakablez.

Excited about the gk, there happened to be a 400 & 800rb, $100 difference, might as well take the extra 100 watts.
