Ok, now that I have a pair of Grados again, I'm listening to more music...any somewhat affordable headphone amps I should know about? I have an Apogee Duet that I use for remote recordings. I use that sometimes, but wouldn't mind a nicer headphone amp

I painted for like 9hrs today with my father-in-law, silently. Longest 9 hours of my life. Tomorrow will be loud.
Ive missed this thread since I've been so busy, y'all turn me on to so much new music.
On guitar I use elevens for B standard. They're a little floppy, but not too much.
Just got home from a friend. Vodka, beer and oldskool blackmetal. And crust. Derp. Drunk much? Yeah.

Obviously the op must have been drunk and mistakenly asked for a tube amp... Had his mind been clear he would have realized tubes were only ok for guitarists. He meant to ask where can I get a markbass combo and a Warwick.

Note the several posters saying that you would get no tone at all tuned to that. It's not a tuning I'd play in, myself, but the idea of it being useless or without tone is silly when we know that Ron tunes to F# and sounds fine.

If you guys would just work on your floating thumb technique, you'd get it...and learn a little something about tonewoods!!! And who could possibly carry an amp that weighs more than 4lbs?! Or what 'serious' musician would play a bass with less that 8 strings that looks like it should only be played by a wizard???!!! You kids really need to step it up...and get a Gramma pad...gawd forbid you have any bass in your...bass
