Bingo. Totally agree that its blown out of proportion but I will say there is a push to"live it" in most rock/metal/blues circles. Dangerous when your rhetoric is death worship. Some folks can't separate the fantasy with the reality.

Edit: I don't believe the"live it" push is very relevant to pros(those mofo working stiffs too busy for the BS), mostly fans, impressionable teens.

Yup, the bad apple that spoils the bunch.

Man my first attempt at action and intonation adjustment is with my epi EB-0 talk about a trial by fire, FVCK this three point inbred hillbilly bridge. Also never considered how huge the headstock of this thing is. It's like a 6"x6" square counting tuner area. Def need to find a hard case and buy the hipshot bridge.

Yeah true, I think some of them think they really are like a god or something, kind of scary, my father was bi-polar and schizo and man he believed he did things in the Army that never could of possibly happened but on such a level he believed it, people can get way caught up in delusion especially if that delusion gives them a sense of purpose. Can't say I really minded the church burnings though, lol, evil begets evil and all that jazz

Yeah definitely, and one should allways keep in mind that all the crazy stuff that went on over here in the nineties were done by teenage boys, not grown men.

Varg and Gaahl are not the norm. Luckily. If they were, I'd be playing polka by now. :D

NPD, my Zoom MS70-CDR came, pretty sweet. Kicked 2 pedals off my board and has enough trippy and random effects to keep me busy for a while. I was a multi effect fiend for a long time and grew to hate digital distortions. Having a box that does just modulations, delays, reverbs and has a nice tuner is perfect. I'll see if I say that in a few months, but the fact that it handles both guitar and bass is a big plus. Just spent like 30 minutes playing with a phaser preset. Also it was from sweetwater so they gave me a bag of candy to go with it.

hey, thanks for all the warm welcomes! ok, so im gonna try and answer all questions i remember. long day! we are based outta of suffolk county, ny. i use a premiere bass(cheap piece of ****, that i got for free, something i could be silly with tuning down to A), hartke 2500 head, hartke vl 4x10 and hartke 115 xl cab, with a carvin speaker replacing blown speaker. oh and i have my zoom bfx 708 pedal.

The thing that bugs me about Varg's arrest is that it's been completely blown out of proportion by the media :

The titles were all like : "a norwegian neo-nazi playing black metal and friend with terrorist Anders Breivik was hiding in a small french village and preparing the next big massacre".

The facts : even if he's an *******, he was living in France with his wife since he had been released from prison, he received one of Breivik's manifestos (he apparently despised what he did and found him stupid), and his wife bought legally 4 .22 rifles (she shoots for a hobby).

I can totally understand the fact that he's under surveillance (he's pretty crazy after all), I just hate the fact that the media and the ministers jumped to conclusion "oh yeah we arrested a super dangerous norwegian terrorist who was putting our great nation in danger" -.-

I've watched 2 documentaries about NBM (Norwegian Black Metal), one was "Until the Light takes Us" and one was about Gaahl and his band. Not because I like the music (not my cup o' ghoul paint), but just because I was interested.

Varg seemed to be a pretty smart, well spoken guy, as did Gaahl.

On a scale of 1 to 10 on the Creep-o-meter, Gaahl did score an 11. The interviewer asked a question (the last one of the movie) and Gaahl just stared at him for about 3 minutes without blinking.

They did a awesome job for the 20 or so people on a Tuesday. Liked them on Facebook and they stopped at a local strip club on their way out of town :). Prolly going to download their CD tonight. Bass player plays a fret less which I thought was weird but to each their own. Got a shirt too and overpaid. Support your touring musicians :)

I thought his whole belief system was that the Catholics should leave Norway and let the Norwegians get back to their original polytheistic religion?
