Tons of software drum machines out there but most need a hardware midi controller to really use them and will cost ya. Hydrogen can can be set up with just your mouse.

Any daw is fine if you put in some time to learn how it works. I've been using reaper for the past couple years and have been happy with it. I try others and keep coming back to it. It has a long trial, it's inexpensive, great feature set and lots of online help. Also the coolest name and program icon.

Argh!!! I should of waited on buying that Aria, because Musicians Friend is blowing out the Silver single cuts $299 and the Gold and Silver double cut $329 Vox guitars I been slobbering over on youtube. I didn't know the Coaxle pickups don't just do P90 and humbucker dual, but also do a regular blade single coil too, and all positions noiseless.

Musicians Friend had a Vox double cut customer return in black or silver for $264 free shipping, so I snatched up a black one with the Roadstar sale money lol. Oh well guitar GAS has been eating me up lol, well really the versatility of those three way pickups on the youtube reviews has had me lusting for them.

I'm not a fan of black metal so I could call the music lame I guess. I did see Before the light takes us, are you referring to him as a person being lame because he killed a man and has angry white person ideals? Or something else I am unaware of.

Man squanch in like a couple hours you jump from lust to acquisition, very cool to get what you what, when you want it.

Yeah that doesn't happen too often, just fell in my lap at the right time and the right price. I was going to pull the trigger on the Gold one for $329 but I looked and saw they had two customer returns in excellent shape listed at $264 I said yeah the black will do just fine. I already pulled my monthly 500 out of paypal so kind of like free money lol. I want to move like 3 more guitars I think anyway so going back to my sell to buy deal so I don't feel guilty lol. There is the next model up Vox that has a separate three way humbucker/P90/single coil switch on it for each pickup, so think I will try and find a schematic and a a switch to wire it that way, because the videos I watched were so cool that in middle pickup position you could have the neck on P90 the bridge on humbucker, etc, all kinds of variations and all without 60 cycle hum. No I got my eye on a body for my baritone tele build, lol. By the way anyone needs a Badass II unslotted bridge on the cheap give me a shout.

I dig black metal (honestly most metalvarieties), but I'm more of a Cradle of filth, dimmu borger kind of guy. I like most things with at least some polish.
The life and times of black metal artists are like that of any other artist/celebrity; prone to excess and indulgence. The difference being the subculture nearly worships death. Excess in that direction has only one end, not surprising really.
Funny that since the count has been in the news lately its all over the forum. Can't say I've seen burzum discussed at all before here.

I like the idea of raw nasty recordings, but I don't like the fizzy guitars and gross vocals of death metal, and generally anything labelled atmospheric puts me off. But I like eyehategod is raw nasty and gross, but I love it. Same with early nirvana stuff or his unreleased recordings, they just sound so much heavier and more personal.

They were excessive and death-centric, it sucks he killed that guy but really when you think about it, it was bound to happen in the push to be the blackest most brutal of them all eventually someone Was gonna Escalate beyond church burnings and suicide. Shouldn't have happened, but really, they shouldn't have been so suprised he did it.

Hahaha man if peavey was a little more like carvin and fender I'd be so happy. Maybe someday the T-40 and some old school amp designs will be rereleased. A T-40 and a roadmaster head with a 215D would a fungasm and a half.

Though, I must say that the idea of some sort of deathcult within the bm scene is blown totally out of proportion by sensationalist mainstream media. I've been in bands with dudes from Gorgoroth, Thorns, Ulver, Mayhem etc; all bands who have been linked to murder, suicide, churchburnings and general asshattery and most of these guys are good people that are all about the music.

But of course extreme art will allways attract the odd nutjob, and nutjobs sell newspapers... :rolleyes:
