Hey guys , sup ?

Went to see Ufomammut yesterday , great show . They had a massive tone . Bass player had a Green power unit and electric (4x15 prolly ) cabs . It's a bit strange near here for bands to play their own gear , saw Ahab 2 weeks ago at the same venue and they played with the stock svt4pro + 810 the house had , but since ufomammut are from italy which , erm , is next to greece , it makes sense :P

Belzebong next friday then , and after that i am leaving for Roadburn :)

Yeah so this guy has been to better shows in the last two weeks than any of us. I really hope ahab makes it to the states at some point.

That's because Europe is so much better when it comes to live music. People actually go to shows from what I hear. maybe it's because they aren't over worked and over medicated like north americans

This **** motivates me to learn French and move outside Paris. Seriously. I have been hitting some home projects lately. We hope to sell within next two or three years. Finally down to one, 40hr a week job. It's not perm, so gotta clean up after Easter. Need resumé, references, and shoe polish. We are writing a concept piece right now. Doomy space stuff. Should be cool.

Shorter travel distances, public transport and a less extensive pop music machine cranking out manufactured music to the requisite corporate radio stations probably helps too...

Well , it is only a part of the whole. Last 3-4 years i am really into the music "scene" , i go to shows like once a week . Local diy sludge/crust/doom or post and foreign bands that come frequently , especially if you are into more than one music styles. For example the next day Belzebong plays , there is a Watain show (Swedish BM) . But that is only a part of it because : You get to see numerous US acts more frequently and more "massively" than we do , and most important i live in Athens which is the capital. Guys all over smaller towns have to move for such concerts etc , not taking into consideration ticket prices which are insane sometimes .

That being said in the psychedelic / doom/sludge /stoner /drone genres , there are 2 major promoters so we gotta see more stuff like that in the upcoming years .
