I really like the tone in both for different reasons. The tone in the first one was dark and full. I can't really get that from my Rics. The second one sounds more like mine, slight grind and pronounced. I think the second one compliments the mix a little better.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's my finger attack that keeps my tone fairly dark. The second clip has the bluebeard on the whole time and that's what's adding the extra brightness compared to the first. I'm going to take a day and get some good recordings. But I'll use a proper mic instead of the camera mic.

relevant to my interests. looking into a 415+412 stereo setup now.

Awesome I really should do some weight training and at least tone myself... I went to the mall today I've dropped another pant size and wear a small shirt now, so I'm starting to look weird, still a few pockets of fatty resistance amid Boney areas and not a single defined muscle above my calves.

Slowly but surely turning my three piece grunge band into a doom band lol. Last night at prac I decided to "improvise" some riffs which just so happened to involve my Supercollider and Dunlop Bass Wah played at like 40 BMP haha. The drummer and the guitarist locked in suprisingly well during the jam and it was sounding really good...until the guitarist started to sing off-key Kurt Cobain-style vocals over the top followed by a tragic equally off-key guitar solo halfway through it and twangy chords.

Less chords, more riffs mate.

honestly some slow as **** doom with grunge elements sounds really cool to me.
