These three interest me, I'd use them for the E-D tuned bass vi probably not my b tuned p bass unless it sounded ok. The buster seems cool but also like it'd be missing low end or be squashy. the mace isn't the exact model I want, and the caliber of the description reads like she probably turned it on with no load. And the Carvin means I get any preamp I want.
Also fender excelsior for home use?

Went to see Ufomammut yesterday , great show . They had a massive tone . Bass player had a Green power unit and electric (4x15 prolly ) cabs . It's a bit strange near here for bands to play their own gear , saw Ahab 2 weeks ago at the same venue and they played with the stock svt4pro + 810 the house had , but since ufomammut are from italy which , erm , is next to greece , it makes sense

That mace is a hake combo to head job, I'd stay far away from that. A factory mace head makes a great bass head.

Yea the buster is most interesting so far, I wonder if it'd take EL-34's... The carvin is cheaper and el-34 equipped, but lower wattage and I'd need a preamp.
I'd want a old black vinyl mace with chrome knobs.

DR405 tubed up and ready, picking up tomorrow. my tech found no issues aside from a loose/cracked cap that he fixed no problem (might have happened in shipping, who knows). trannys are good, KT88 JJs working well with it.

Well that's the 2012 4003 Ric. Has a push/pull for the cap. That's with the cap bypassed and the neck pup slightly rolled back.
Actually I have a push/pull on my 4001 too. I rarely use the cap. I'd like to experiment more with it.
