Fender Champ especially out to an extension cab. Or that Fender Excelsior with the 15 inch speaker that sounded similar to the Champ to me, they were just blowing the brown colored ones out for $200 at GC not too long ago, I think they called it the Racist Special nyuck nyuck nyuck.
I am partial to Fender blackfacish tube cleans and wasn't trying to get tube breakup from the Champ which it would do, I just liked playing it clean and how well it played with my pedals for dirt and modulation.

What I really want is the amp section of a Hot Rod Deluxe combo. That little combo get LOUD for what it is, but I want a stand alone amp.

Loved my Valve Junior enough to buy anothe bigger tube amp in less than a week. Its pretty good for bedroom practicing. I got the hot rod version with the added gain and reverb. It can also function as a reverb tank which is pretty f'n cool because there's a lot of heavy verb in that little thing.

Yeah I have had my eye on a modded one. Would really love to find one for not stupid expensive.

That's good you could streamline the design like that and still retain the same specs.

greenboy is no dummy. There are a lot of guys that swear up and down that they would never need a tweeter. There was one that actually owned a Dually and he proclaimed it was the last cab he would ever want or need. Then he played my DuallyT, and promptly proceeded to upgrade.

The tweeters and cross overs are not your run of the mill sh!t that most cabs have. greenboy doesnt stick them in there for extra marketability, they are there to enhance the function of the cab. Mass market companies will stick a $1.50 tweeter and filter in their cab, say "ooh shiney look at the tweeter!" then charge you $100 more.

It's also strange that since it has more "bite" it makes it seem like it has less lows. IE when compared to the CTS in the b15 cab.

The 3015 isnt as balanced as the 15PR400, but if you turn some knobs, the 3015 will punch you in the nuts with low end for sure.

Haha. Guess they didn't dig the teachings of rev doom...

I would be curious to know what he said to out rage the believers so.
