If you think it can handle it is probably make this my bead bass. I can buy some fiver chromes and some labella flats for the bass vi from just strings.

I had a sheep chimichanga, it's an alternative meat kind of night. Hope your pregnant wife was aware and consenting to your craigslist mission. Don't want her scared on my behalf.

It could handle BEAD with a little work, might need a little filing at the nut.

The wife was fine. He was a middle aged guy with a house in a nice subdivision near where my parents live, with strats hanging on the wall and a bunch of kids running around.

I wish my CL meetups were that innocuous.
Always seems to be a meth trailer on the back 40 for me.

Before the craigslist killer stories, I sold a SX strat to some dude that was a total dick bag. He haggled the ad to $75. That was my bottom dollar. Came over and played it for what seemed to be an hour. He basically refused to leave my basement until he got it for $60. Stupid jerk.

I've been pretty luck with Craigslist dealings so far. One guy tried to sell me a epi tbird with a broken neck but other than that it's all been good. After the Craigslist killer and hearing about people getting robbed... I'm packing at every meeting.

Joe, you've got some patience. That guy would've gotten escorted out of my place at the 20 minute mark. If he refused to leave... That's a paddlin'

Why was that, anyway?

No clue. Probably different rules for them to apply in that sub forum.

Back to gear... I'd have to use some ridiculously mid-heavy speakers to be interested in an Orange AD200B. While my D-180 has passive mids, I at least can boost them with the graphic. No option like that for the Orange. Their own 1x15 does seem to be a TL606 design, though.

Their 115 is a TL clone. Problem is that they dont take any advantage of materials or slight design improvements. Hell they dont even add batting, so the mids are kinda janky.

I've heard the Faitals are kinda JBL-ish sounding. The old aluminum cap JBLs had a lot more high end than people expect with 15"s, so if the Faitals are like them, I wouldn't be surprised if they had quite a bit of sizzle.

For sure. They are really present with out being overbearing. I wouldnt say they are mid heavy, very even. The 15PR400 is the best full range speaker I have played.

I've never had a bad Craigslist experience, the worst just being when some townie thinks he found his new best friend and starts telling stories I dont care about, like Joe experienced.

I did have one that was rather tense... posted my old Ampeg SVT3 Pro that I couldnt sell for good straight cash and mentioned I'd take offers of basses/pedals/amps/guns for trade. Guy negotiated a 9mm carbine rifle + $100 for the amp... value wise it was a win/win deal, but neither of us knew what we were getting in to.

The deal went smoothly and we made the transaction 100% legally and wrote out receipts and everything (long guns are simple in PA)... but I'm pretty sure both of us were thinking of the loaded magnum in our pockets the whole time.

I don't goto people 's homes anymore. Neither do I bring them to mine. I like to meet in public places cause I'm paranoid.
That being said I can't convince my wife to do the same.
"Honey when you tell people to'come over anytime I'm a stay at home mom'your asking to get raped."
Her response "I'll just try and relax and enjoy it."

I've had some pretty weird CL experiences, but nothing that ever got tense or heated. 5+ years as a bouncer gave me plenty of experience in dealing with strangers, and also beating the hell out of them if necessary! But I'm a pretty intimidating looking dude IRL, so I never have issues.

I've had a few cool things happen before though. One time I was picking up an SVT-3 Pro in the middle of no where Maryland. I get to the address and this house is worth like $3 million easy. Guy was super nice and welcoming, invited me in, and took me down to his basement where he had one of the nicest home studios I've ever seen in my life. I guess he had been nominated for a couple of Grammy's for his mixing and mastering work, and had worked with artists like Christina Aguilera. Pretty neat stuff.

never had a weird craigslist dealing, worst dealing i ever had was on here when i traded my BC Rich. dude was shady as ****, called me constantly and i couldnt get him to shut up for like hour long phone convos (and those of you that know me are well aware that i am loud and dont shut up, so coming from me that is ****ing bad). dude sent me a tracking number that didnt work, made up a bunch of stories about how it just needed more time to get into the system when in reality he created the tracking number and didnt actually send it until my bass showed up to him first. when the bass arrived to him he started blowing up my email telling me the truss rod was ****ed and all this nonsense, so i told him to ship it back and we'd cancel the deal. that wasnt good enough either he just wanted a refund, im pretty sure i gave him 100 bucks to make him go away hahaha. dude sucked tho.

my ovation magnum deal to the guy in russia where i sent it to a middle man first in arizona went 10x smoother than trading a bass to a guy in texas lol.
