i need some suggestions as well. I've been listening to our new stuff over and over and over again looking for mistakes, ideas for mixing and things to add.

i need someting fresh.

My pine pbass body is still sitting on a bench out in the wood shop, waiting to get repainted. I'm starting to consider just sending it out to get painted, so I can assemble it and move on. Leave figuring out the HPLV spraying for another project. I let my dad borrow a bunch of the spray equipment for airbrushing something at home he's working on anyway.

I am still waiting on some parts for the build, I am just going tru oil on the body, no stain. I don't even have a shed so the tru oil is nice as it makes no mess or smell. So far I have put it on two necks and both look great IMHO. Maybe down the line if I keep tinkering with builds I will trying staining, but just leary to mess up until I get some practice in.

I'm thinking about doing an oil finish on my next build. I have a bunch of that barn wood I bought. I was thinking of doing some of it with milk paint, some with a natural oil finish. Even the milk paint stuff, you usually seal it with tung oil or something similar to tru oil

I recently bought a Strat neck with a tele square heal off ebay for cheap, for the 72 tele body I bought off of JMac. The guy gave the neck a kind of crappy done coat of poly, and it just looked plain jane, no yellowing or tint on it. I started to sand the neck and that was a mess, so I said what the heck try some tru oil over the poly, and it took, I thought it would smear but it didn't and it really gave the neck a nice amber tint. I lucked out.

My friend who plays guitar in Warp Rig picked up a blueline SVT, for use in his other band he plays bass in. Since it goes down to 2 ohm, gonna plug it in to the dual Duallies at our next practice and give it a whirl. Something to calm my Dunwich withdrawal until Nick finishes my amp.
