Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread 29: "Please Huff Responsibly"

I actually used the Behringer "Sansamp" and thought the midscoop got me lost in the mix. Its tone is really cool, but I liked my pure amp tone better.

BTW found a crappy picture on my phone, I will take better ones tonight at rehearsall

That's why I used a TS-style pedal which has a a ton of mids. The combination is great.

Dude, KC Craigslist kinda sucks, huh? I found an ad for a guy that says he will build something but you already have someone in mind for that. The TL606 designs are pretty easy to follow and could probably use the speakers you have now. If you have the means for a dually, I can't see a reason why you wouldn't want one. Just ask Laz.

The one 2-15 Peavey that is worth a damn is the Peavey 215D It is a little deeper than the other silver side peaveys. But, good luck finding one. They are fairly uncommon now, even in Peavey land. Anyone get to try the Peavey 215 Tour Pro thing? It looked pretty cool.

Yeah if it was a 5 string i'd be all over it. Are their neck's really as awesome as the reviews say they are? I can't think of any where around NOVA where i could go try one out.

Never played one personally, but they are regarded highly by people I know who's opinions I value.

Duallys are the boobies. I understand that not everyone can afford $1200-$1300 for a cab, but its possibly the most important piece of your rig and they absolutely slay.

lol, my man justin is the #1 gear flipper ive ever met. that dude literally flips gear all day long.

Yeah, he's always got awesome stuff.

YES! If I had around $1200 for a bass, I don't know if I would even look at Fender. Lakland Skylines and Carvin SB's. Of course, I already own an SB (reason I included them) Never held a Lakkie, but I also have trusted bass players pals that love them. Sam has a 4 banger I think.

The older 90's Yamaha 5strings (TRB I think it was called) are sleepers too.

He's a Tber. This is a side business. I think he's a full time musician.

The more i looked around the site the more i figured that out.

they have funny hours, or you need to call Ji (i think thats his name) to set up an appointment. they have all high end boutique gear in there.

Yeah looking at the site I realized there's absolutely no sub 1k$ basses in there, it's a true boutique outlet... I'd love to go check it out but I wouldnt walk in there with out cash in hand, i'd feel like a @$$h*le
