Ha, I guess I am different because vague ads peak my interest and I always check.

I mentioned before, I find a ton of cheap deals and buy it all, so what I don't like I sell so at any one time I have a lot of crap to sell. Enables me to get gear I want for like nothing, and pays me enough plant a lot of trees without feeling like I am wasting money.

As for stuff I might put up here (still unsure if I want to sell). I'm trying to play it all and see, but stuff has to go, I hate the idea of a big pedal board. I really just want a great sound I can add to and then maybe make louder that's it. So if anyone here has an inkling they might want something lemme know.

those things are terrifying. finally saw the back of the CD for Variations on a Theme and it occurred to me how staggeringly big 8 15 inch speakers is.

A rough translation of Metal Hammers Blog entry:

"In order to not sound like a Jam Session of a band whose singer has gone sick, an instrumental record needs a band with a strong and hard working guitar/bass section. And with BTB Monobrow has crafted something just like that. From time to time a release comes around the corner that you can get sunk into like a big soft feather pillow.

The 3 Canadians play ("entspannt zocken" is kinda hard to translate) their a little psychedelic riffs very relaxed, and topped with the sometimes playful soli, each song tells its own story. This works so well that even the 12 min title track doesn't get boring for even a second. And all this isn't stopped at all by the fact that Monobrow are riding the recent retro rock wave a little."

Certainly not perfect, but better than Google Translate I think...

@Locopeland: awesome rig! What kind of cab is that Acoustic?

I absolutely love Sunn Rigs, should be able to post some pictures of mine tomorrow.

Here's a new song the Castle is working on. We recorded it to a click so we could add drums later but that makes every riff the same tempo which is actually not the way we wrote it. We're more just trying to get the parts down on tape for the singer and drummer to work out ideas.

I'm posting it here because I thought the bass tone was tasty (that's why it's so loud in this mix). G&L SB-1->Rotosound Flats->Moody Sounds Hjart Muller->Behringer Driver DI->Tascam 4track.

I was originally going to record with the Carl Martin Plexitone but the Hjart Muller sounded pretty much the same and is way cheaper (because I own it).

For the EQ settings, are you talking about on the bass itself? I prefer to crank the bass, keep the mids around half way and just a pinch of treble on the third pickup setting. Sounds massive with the Oxfuzz.

Yes, I was talking about on the bass itself. I told you I'm a big ATK fan! That sounds similar to how I ran mine. I strung it with chromes, dimed the bass, gave the mids a little boost and left the treble at flat.

So i have two mismatched random crappy 1x15 cabs, a peavey pro 410, and a peavey 1810 cab. I seem to be crazy a single 2x15, but I don't want to spend a huge amount of money. What are your guys suggestions for a good used 2x15. Are the old peavey 2x15 a good cab? Should I try and find two matching 1x15s for portability? Their is an acoustic
2x15 at a local shop but I don't know how I feel about those. Help a doomer out.
