Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread 29: "Please Huff Responsibly"

Anybody have a good source for Gibson/Epi replacement parts? I want a different pickguard for my Epi T-bird. I bought the 'goth' model because I like the flat finish but the generic circle-in-cross pickguard is not my style. I'm thinking tortise or black with the classic thunderbird. **** is expensive, though.

Board update. Got a PT-1, the mini, BEF Pro & Rat Tail this week. Looks a little bare since 3 pedals got knocked off.

I've seen some of those Peavey towers before... i'm sure you could play bass through them, but I think they're probably for PA use... and the head only has 2 speaker outs at just over 100 watts. So no way to use ALL the cabs without bridging (which would probably drop your resistance fairly low) Maybe the guy got them in a storage locker or something...

I would be more interested in the towers than the 215 or head Then again who on here can't use more 15's when the price is right?

What kind of finish do they use on ric's? It seems very thin in comparison to fenders like toenail thick paint.

I think the warwicks I've heard got a pretty good tone, but they are the ugliest things I've ever seen. I'm not familiar with the models, but most I see look like the upper arm was meant to be used as a sex toy.

Generally those towers were like 100 watt PA cabs, I looked into them and they were intended for vocal and guitar reinforcement. With new speakers and some work, they'd be amazing guitar or bass. I think a Class D, or Rack sized unit would fit on top as well.

Only Wick I GAS for.

***although 4.3kg seems heavy for a semi hollow.

Agreed. That`s the only warwick I`ve ever really liked.

I`m also enjoying the new Converge. I just found out that they`re playing about 40 minutes away from me next weekend. Now I just have to wrangle up a buddy to go with me.

@Jason!,I like your pedal board set up. I`ve got the regular BEF and it`s pretty fun to play with! I also have the same small box Rat Tail. I was bummed when Ry went to all bigger boxes for his effects.

Stupid PayPal and Bill Me later, I have enough approved credit, and had the seller send me an invoice but they still wont let me buy it. They keep not authorizing my purchase. So I called them and they said it was a verification problem, they are fixing it, but its going to take a couple days. The sellers holding the bass for so shes still gonna be mine, but man, fvck PayPal.

Here ya go check out the sleep drone. There should be vids on you tube. Lemme know if you get it.

The Skychord stuff looks rad but why no bypass switch on the pedals?

The Total Sonic Annihilation looks mega rad. I'd have to get enough cheap pedals to make it squeal and set those pedals the way I would want for the noises I want. The great destroyer looks too unpredictable upon further review. I like noisese, but I want to be able to make the same noises over and over again.

I had a similar issue right after moving and trying to buy a bass. Change of address and the like. They got it sorted out for me eventually.

The only Warwick I've ever GASed for is a Stryker.
