Personal preference I guess. I don't along with SS heads. I can see why people don't like the Orange though.

FAC sounds very interesting but I literally have no idea what it does. Are there bass sound clips around?

It's basically a 6 way mid frequency selector from 250hz to about 2k and then the other knob is the boost function, as the boost function the Q gets more narrow so that at the most extreme setting it sounds like a cocked wah.

My biggest all tube head is my least favorite amp. I've liked more solid state amps than tube that I've owned/played, with a couple notable exceptions.

Yes. It was called the 4005, not a huge amount were made, and they have been discontinued for a long time, resulting in very very high prices. They look like [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] and Link Removed.

Yea just found some pics and prices And not as nice looking as I thought, the 4001-4003 are the tried and true.
