Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread Part 11 - "Bath Time"

Condolences for your Grandma.

Yeah... Big plus one on that!

Thanks. She was more of a mother than my actual mother (which sadens me to say). The loss is devastating. One bright note/kinda cool thing. When my grandpa died he was cremated. My grandma will be too. And, we will set both their ashes to sea. (my grandpa was a ship captain)

Sorry about your grandma, Joe.

Talked to my Dually builder again today. Things have been smoothed out. My cab should be done in 2-3 weeks. I think anxiety from Monolith and EarCandy made me panic a bit after things weren't going perfectly as planned. I can't wait to hear what the 7 Pro sounds like through one of those things.

If he needs some more funds for materials to build your cab, I can place an order with him. Cab manufacturers all run ponzi-style these days, right?

Too soon? :hiding:

That is very cool. Not to be morbid, but check the wind before you do the ceremony.

What the heck is wrong with a cab cover? It's not like I'm using some POS SWR gear that I don't care about ;)

Also, if anyone has any input on this feel free to post: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f15/amp-rack-help-885014/

I guess you never heard Geoff's rant on this very subject. I wish the internet had a sarcasm symbol or a way to indicate a joke without having to type LOL (I hate myself for even typing it).

But don't take offense. One of my SWR's came with a cover and I have used it in travel because it would be stupid not to. I've never been one to baby my gear. Maybe that's why nothing I own has any resale value.LOL.

I keep forgetting that bands are using my practice spot to get ready for MDF. That made for an awkward moment when I went to the spot on my lunch break to pick up some stuff and there were a bunch of metal dudes staring at me in my shirt and tie. One of my studio mates who let them in ushered me out as soon as he could.
