Dude, not sure I want to know about your anatomy...![]()
So far it has had all of my best ideas.
Course it has also had all of my worst too.

Red fang $16 at the door. Awesome.

Edit: with The Shrine.
In a word... yes.
I pumped my fEARful stack harder than ever with the Hartke, during the first jam it was overheating, 2nd jam I stupidly plugged it all in same as normal, and the bottom 12" blew. Some people alluded that since I was running the amp bridged and the cabs daisychained, and only 1 cab blew, that it was either the crossover or the speaker's fault. It would make sense that if the speaker was on its way out, the amp wouldnt have a solid 4 ohm load on it and would overheat / go into standby like it did. I'm really hoping its not the Hartke's fault, but I'm leery to run the Hartke + 2x15 as a "test", I'm not sure of any other way to determine the issue.
There were alot of people dumbfounded that it was possible to blow a fEARful, but I realize 99% of TB fEARful owners are barely pushing them. I had those suckers pumping out bass I've only ever heard from a dual 2x15 setup... so they were definitely up near their "limits". Had alot of fuzz, some delay, some flange going on too, so between volume, saturation, feedback, oscillation, its pretty much the perfect storm to create speaker goo. Maybe those hi-fi rigs just don't cut it like a simple 2x15.
A NON BELIEVER!
haha, sucks about your cab tho, blowing speakers is exactly why i am a huge pussy in terms of cranking things to the max. i throw math out the window in terms of amp watts into cab watts.
thats one of the big reasons i find the fearful club funny, because most of the threads i see about them is guys running them for anything but doom. aside from the few in here that do it, the majority are not slamming them with fuzz and massive volume. hopefully you get your stuff fixed/worked out tho, being amp/cabless is lame city.
didn't Rushing already blow a fearful cab driver awhile back?
Does front seater mean you can bear to face them during?
No, it's when you are a young buck and doing that screwing in a car backseat thing, and you date a gal so tiny you don't have to even bother jumping in the back seat, you can tap her in the front seat!
There's quite a few people in school who should be offered a shovel and gloves...
If you are a senior level business major and can't calculate profit what the hell are you doing?
man posting at night sucks. apparently the majority of S/D bassists like to waste a lot of time while at work. I count myself in that group, ha.
found out they don't monitor the web. I even showed the chic-a-go-go video to my new boss (who is about the same age as me and has suspiciously reddish eyes after coming back from lunch) so I think ill go back to keeping up when I can during the day.
obviously squanch is either passed out or in a self-medically induced coma at this time of night
Nyuck nyuck nyuck, I am trying to be better at work and less zoning out to the interent, and the girlfriend gets on me about too much internet at night, and had family over for a visit, and a migraine for a visit, so yeah I popped some tramadol and bendaryl.
Man weather is crazy, it is 76 degrees today in Virginia, the calm before the storm, watch out for the ice you Midwestern Doomers!
7 degrees here this morning. I think we'll miss the worst of the ice storm.
In band-related news, I let loose with a rather blunt email about our recording situation last week. (Would have liked to have done it in person but everyone was busy with holiday stuff)
After some back and forth and details that I won't get into here, the plan to record new guitar tracks has been scrapped. A few new tracks have been recorded, but were pretty much unusable (hey, recording isn't as easy as just putting up a mic and hitting "record").
Kind of what myself and the drummer expected anyway. Oh well, onward and upward.
Happy Friday!
