Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Anybody 'round these parts have any experience with the BAT Pharaoh Supreme? Thinking of picking one up, but I already have the standard and want to know if it's worth replacing. I LOVE the standard, so it's not a problem of getting something I like, just more variety of tones and perhaps a slightly different variation on my current tone. Thanks!

Got home last night and around midnight got a flurry of knocks on the door I tell people not to use, causing me to go into oh poopie mode... My friend had just been mugged of his possessions and phone and came by and didn't want to be alone so I went out and drank til 7am with them, woke up at 11 and walked several miles home.

Yeah man! Fun stuff. Glad you know the Chingaso folks too. My current bands aren't stoner but Dromon threatens to reunite for a set and, if we do, I'd love to play with y'all.

Well I was gonna go for that bf-2, but I'm not sure anymore. Instead I looked up "drum" on Craigslist and just that hour a Tama swingstar set was posted for $200 full kit and cymbals.

Got it for $182, it's hardly touched. Ateenage girl gave up and gave it to this guys teenage daughter and she gave up too she he sold it.

No pics yet as my house is in crazy disarray, but looks like this. Amazing hardware compared to the $100 Rogers kit I used to have.

All good now that I'm getting kind of partial to these D'Addario EXP. Jason from bass strings online has been waiting for one string to complete the order.

He changed it today to two 5 string sets and refunded me some money, didn't think of seeing if going that route was cheaper but it is... NAMM was a bit of a distraction. Plus any single order from D'Addario takes 12 to 15 days or some crazy poopie. I'll get it setup before next Saturday.

We have another guitar player trying out apparently... I didn't get the memo. Well see how long this sets us back in time going to record. :/
