Not sure if this helps but here are the tensions listings in the link for Daddario's balanced tension medium gauge set I just picked up. I had the light gauge and dug them a lot but wanted to try the medium gauge set after one of the Doomers(sorry can't remember who) mentioned them being good for C standard.

I get collards for my lizards and people grow them here like pretty much all year. Kind of weirded me out seeing a plant that grows in and handles cold weather when I moved here from PA.
Huh, maybe I should try growing them, it probably gets as cold here as it does there. I just started eating them before Christmas, a huge bunch is like .99 cents. Usually I just roll 5-10 leaves in a cigar and chiffonade and sauté with garlic and bacon fat.
since i have to use stainless thanks to nickel allergies, i'm pretty sure this is close to the best option - what do ya'll think?
My bead strings are just slightly bigger, and I'm using a 32" scale compared to your 33"
sounds like i could be on the right track. i've been using 50-110 for a long time and keen for some tighter lower strings.
I keep forgetting ricks are 33.5" scale. Even with that variable I'd think you need to go heavy like a .135 for the low C. .120 may be a little limp. I was trying .118, .120 and .124 balanced sets with Circle K for a while and after trying the D'Addario EXP .130 it didn't feel floppy any more in BEAD. Now they are hex core so a little higher tension. I was figuring low tension equals less fatigue, but not the case. Nickle allergy sucks, my stepson has bad metal allergy's.
Back from NAMM - super busy as always but we managed to cram some fun in there as well. Thursday night was the Peavey Party with BOC and a bastard version of Skynyrd with Gary Rossington, Peter Keys, Ricky Medlocke, Kenny Aronoff, Robert Randolph and Michael Anthony. Kenny also came out to close out the BOC set by playing cowbell on Don't Fear the Reaper.
Friday immediately after the show was the P-Funk concert, which was AMAZING. Holy balls, was not expecting it to be so good. My co-worker and I managed to pull ourselves away in time to grab some dinner then Uber our way over the the disneyland House of Blues, where we were on the guest list for Lita Ford and Warrant.
Saturday night was a business dinner, Sunday was a dinner with the owners of our company. All in all, did shitloads of meetings, made lots of connections, saw thousands of new products, ate delicious and expensive food and walked, walked, walked. The husband and wife owners of the company were very impressed with myself and my immediate co-workers, and had a lot of nice things to say. Hopefully that all translates to a promotion/raise in the near future.
I bought two MOOER sized pedals from a chinese vendor in Hall E on sunday afternoon, you're not supposed to do that, but I got it done. Haven't had a chance to check them out yet. Today was working from home and doing school work that I missed out of while being gone for 6 days.
Got an Algebra exam in two hours, then back at the office tomorrow morning. All in all it was a really awesome and productive show. It's great to go out there and see old friends and business associates that I don't get to see that often.

back in business, found a bunch of skull molds and excess resin to make stuff today at the studio, one of the clear skull molds was contaminated and it turned this weird charcoal frost color and the teeth look like they were eaten away with acid, also found a pic of john lennon's bloody sunglasses on google, was going to draw it for my next art show, but then i felt weird stealing yoko's photo, oh and i finished the free form jazz piece to be played when the band walks on stage that i've been working on for 14 years

Pretty sure I've decided to get a Pharaoh Supreme when I get the scratch together. Which place typically has the best deals? I've been to Prymaxe, but they apparently don't do all deals on Blackarts stuff when I checked the fine print. Rogue Guitar Shop? Any info is appreciated!
I have that set (from Amazon) and they are great but short. Are there longer ones of the same style and good quality?
Yeah, up to 3ft I believe. I have longer length ones for putting chains in a loop.
that's what i find as well. no idea what does it exactly, perhaps the relatively flat neck after a good setup?
keen on that bridge if you do find it btw. giving the old girl a bit of an overhaul - nut, bridge, strings, setup.
I put a .120 set on my brown ric for drop B and it was nice, but when I tuned it up to drop c the neck bowed. I have a .110-55 set on the white ric and its doing fine. Vintage necks for Rics do weird things and I alway try to play on the safe side. I still have a circle k .118 drop set that worked on the brown ric, string brand also plays in the equation I suppose.

Also the jacket I got for a $1 and figured was a ladies jacket is a hit with the ladies so win on me! I've worn it three days solid since buying it and have gotten a honk, waves, and smiles but no ones said anything so far so nice to hear it...
Oh and I got drunk and really suck at darts, but throw with gusto!
