Speaking of bunny suits, my supervisor did some volunteer work at the local old folks home and for Easter a few years back, he dressed up in a bunny costume and was dancing with some of the old ladies there. One lady collapsed while dancing with him and died later. So he is known as being Deadly on the dance floor!

On a serious note kind of, I'm wanting a guitar for slide mostly, nothing expensive, and most for likely open D so I can capo for open E too.
I'm thinking a squier strat, telecaster or maybe a semi/hollow body. Not really sure, but a neck pickup is paramount.
I used a tele myself and liked it, a band I know uses a strat for more lead like slide but could do anything of course, and then jack whites hollow body jazz box with neck bucker is delicious.

Get a cheap Squire VM Tele or something else used. Might need to replace the pickups, but GFS makes good stuff cheap. The worst thing that can happen with cheap guitars is they need to have really high action or have terrible fret dressing. Neither would be an issue if you're setting it up exclusively for slide playing.
Keep it up ya little ingrate and I am cancelling our reservations to the annual Estranged Father/Son Crack Whore Chokeathon, and rumor has it that this year is it is being held in Delaware...
You can get a nut adapter to give it a test run and see if you really like slide. Couple different kinds out there.

This will probably require me making a want ad then, as I'll be trying to achieve this under $100-$150 all together.
I really don't play much guitar (probably cause I don't own any anymore). Cause I'm seldom playing with others, I want to start working more on things I've made and a slide guitar, porch stomp box and bass vi will get me where I want. And SM57
