Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

what are some cheap-ish pedals bassed on a rat?

I picked up a Tortuga Fire Ant for $100 on a stupid GC deal. They are normally 180. Boutique Rat with 2 channels switchable Ge/Si/diode clip with an internal trim to darken channel 2. I love it. It keeps getting kicked off the board but always manages to make it back on. The open tone Si is brutal.

Something fuzzrocious is the next pedal on the docket. Thinking Greystache but if this Ultimate Stoner I am building turns out as awesome as I think it will, I may have muff tones covered. If so, rat tail or rat king.

If any doomers are avid builders I have questions and would really appreciate a PM.

I dig the Greyscale Devices Hellcat. But for cheap isn't there a Mooer mini pedal rat clone that somewhere on here that was decent on bass?
Found it, Mooer Black Secret.

Guys, I have an opportunity to get an Ibanez Roadstar II P bass pretty cheap. Not that I really need it, but it's affordable and for sale :D
Anyone heard something about it? It doesn't seem to be much info about them.
All I found is that they were made from 1983 to 87 and were made in Japan.

Even if the Vulcan's non-modded fuzz sounds less-than-desirable, it may sound better with a dirt pedal in front of it. That's how the OD on my F800 works, at least.

How was you Vulcan's fuzz modded?

Actually I was going to have him mod
it with a totally different circuit but after he did a full go through(recap, etc.) he readjusted the bias and got what the fuzz sounds like now. So Im glad he didnt rip it out right away.

IMO stuff doesnt stack well with it. Its a lot more than just a built in OD on a festival or the distortion on a Standard (which is more of an OD to me), giving it some extra grit, its a gnar fuzz.
