I have a Dunwich custom preamp that is awesome, but I sold the heavy old weak poweramp I had in anticipation of getting a class D one, but got sidetracked. Also got that pignose g40v tube head.

Just do it! They aren't all that expensive really. Not to mention there is almost always a set on the classifieds.






On a side note, can someone explain channel jumpering to me? My 2000s has 4 inputs, 2 normal and 2 bright. If I plug into the normal(N1) and then jump from N2 to bright 1(B1) would that brighten up the sound? Would I lose lows? Reversely, If I go bass > B1 and jump from B2 to N1 wouldn't I effectively still have theoretical low end loss with a cut from the bright channels?

I know that the obvious answer is to try out the different combos and see what I like best. I am just curious if there is a generally expected result from these options. I have never really messed with channel jumping and sometimes have difficulty hearing an AB when I have to stop and reconfigure to try option B.

Having pretty atrocious ADD/ADHD makes it very difficult for me to really notice a ton of A/B differences unless I can switch back and forth pretty quickly and effortlessly. I am building a pedal specifically for ABing different boxes with a switch to flip the effect order as well. Should help me decide between multiple pedals based on similar circuits.

went to the high end music store today, don't know why i even bother, they don't have any abrasive pedals for bass, and it's not like i'm gonna drop 1500 or 2000 on a new fender when i can just get some wrecked and rejected one on ebay and trick it out for way way less, anyway i'll be in new york next week and i want you all to know that even if you don't hear from me that i care about you, i'm proud of you, and i love you (not very doomy, tired from phone sex and somewhat disoriented/dehydrated)

I think the best thing to do is plug into the normal channel, jumper to the bright then set your eq and gain levels. You shouldn't lose low end, but gain a bit more top end and slightly more overdrive. I haven't done it with that particular amp, only with marshalls so your results might vary.

Might play bass with my old drummers rock band. It's got me thinking that i need a squier p bass with rounds. I've got flats on the ATK for the doom band, probably wouldn't be right for fast punkish rock....

If it's punk flavored, why does it matter? At least that's my attitude towards punk music. Use what you've got, and throw everyone who complains about it the bird.

I love G&L. Probably my favorite maker of basses. I have owned my MIA SB-2, a tribute L2500 and a MIA JB-2. They have all been outstanding instruments with a playability that is really just on another level. I talk of selling the SB-2, but the main thing holding me back is that I just know I would be buying another G&L 6 months down the road. Would love a white/white/RW LB-100 with a #6 or #8. I'd put a GZR in it and would likely never need another bass... yeah right.

The T40 has a P style neck. It is relatively thin in my opinion for the width, but I like it like that. I had grown accustomed to J necks over the years despite having started on a P, but this one felt like home very quickly; almost no transition awkwardness. The furies are more chunky J IMO. It's a nice balance really.

I'm still waiting for an Ashdown 115 cab for my Terror Bass, should be here next week. Then I'll probably sell my Ashdown 5-15 combo. It sounds nice and it's loud after I swapped the speaker for a Celestion 300W driver, but I just can't justify to keep so many furniture in my smallish apartment.

What's with the shower curtain for the window?

A Hog Island or a Centralian carpet python are the two snakes I would love to own. Or a blood python... but I don't want to buy rabbits or have a tank large enough. Once I can afford to prioritize funds for either a double stack of boaphile enclosures or nut up and build a couple that stack I will get another snake. Glass boxes are just a b**** all around.

I also can't imagine cleaning up Blood python ****. I can only imagine the size and stink.

I'd also get an albino ball. But for real Hogs are the ****. It would also be cool to source a LEGIT super dwarf retic. I wouldn't want to take any chances though on a questionable breeder. A 24 footer is the last thing I need.

Corns have good temperaments, easy to hold, some snakes in the pet trade can be pissy/nippy like some of the kingsnakes, blood pythons, carpet pythons, detc but the corns are usually sweet natured and stay a smaller size as adults.

Both. They are super cheap to care for, super easy and they don't generally strike. Mine has only struck me twice and both times were near feeding time. They are incapable of drawing blood(generally) though. I enjoy getting mine out from time to time and letting him slither around me.

Thanks! I'm finding the glue lam necks work better for me. Really stable and stay in tune for the long haul.

If they do it doesn't digest well. To humid and you are asking for infections. To dry and you are asking for infections and shed problems.

It really irks me that big box pet shops get away with selling chameleons and rainbow boas for these reasons. Both of those reptiles can be fine one day and dead as **** the next for almost inexplicable reasons.

Real Chameleons require special care that the average person is not going to do. I have resisted getting Jackson Chameleons due to all the effort needed. The Vivarium in Berkeley is a solid store that will teach how to care for the animal. PetSmart or PetCo not so much.

LOL I just finished typing blood python and saw you typed that LOL. I had three pure hogs and two hybrid sunsets. I want another pure hoggie someday. I also had a longicauda that was real cool and they are the only boa that changes color from birth to adult from a very small section of Peru.
A male hog would be the way to fly, about the size of a ball python so a little easier to feed and keep.
Keep your eye on your craigslist for used neodesha and vision cages. I learned my lesson with glass cages at Christmas when I broke one and slashed my leg proper, no looking very pretty this shorts season LOL.
Yeah I could never feed rabbits, rats make me sad enough as they make good pets as we have had some dumbo rats before but they have to eat. Nor would I want a large snake. My fried has a Dumeril's boa which are super docil but they get just big enough to be dangerous to hold by yourself.
Damn I could talk reptiles all day, just like gear.

A friend of mine kept bermese pythons when living in Florida. Let them run loose in the house apparently. Fed them live chickens in the bathroom... Nuts IMHO.
