Ugh, got some more idiot jackasses peddling the "underpowering" and "distortion kills speakers" myths on regular TB.

If it hurt speakers to play a low powered amp through them, or to have a distorted signal, I would be wrecking speakers all the time.
And my lesbian neighbor had my wallet... So I lost it as I realized I lost it and was too drunk to just look down when it happened.

Yummadumdum, sounds good. The marinated fish tacos with homemade salsa were a huge success. Between that and installing a new clothesline in the backyard on Saturday, my wife has been singing my praises all weekend.
I asked him for value and he said $300. My follow up was whether or not there's a case. I might drop an offer. I don't have an acoustic to trade.
If I remember correctly, they were around $500 new when they came out. Plus a $99 case. I had one for a year. It sounded nothing like a Gibson ripper. The maple neck and pickups made for a super bright and honky bass that was nothing like it's namesake. Unless you get it cheap and plan on upgrading the pickups you might want to pass...
Hey everyone. Been sporadically lurking. Working lots of overtime and dealing with some curve balls that life's been throwing at me and the misses. Up late trying to calm down. My neighbor caught a crackhead trying to sell a pitbull puppy that he'd cut the tail off of. He brought it to me to patch it up till he can take it to the vet in the morning.
People suck. Luckily my neighbor is a 9th dan in bjj. Scumbag got some instant karma and a lesson in the price of animal cruelty.

There are solutions to these kind of problems.... But it is illegal to haul off and kill people that treat animals like that.
I was considering this, though it sounds like it'd be more work than it's worth. I may still go check it out if it's only 15-20 min away, though.
(Addition) DethByDoom, did you have an Epi Ripper with the PJ pups or the single soapbar?

Ugh, what a cute puppy. As someone who is a volunteer at an animal shelter in the city, I work primarily with pit bulls. A lot of them end up losing their tails/needing them amputated because pit tails are so strong and the breed can be so happy that they just continue to smack them off things causing damage.
So hopefully that little buddy still gets a chance at a happy healthy life. Shouldn't be hard to find a home for something that cute.

Since my wife has been working in county/city animal services for the past decade, I've seen a lot of awful DIY tail and ear docking. It's just sad, but luckily there's a lot of caring people out there who are willing to give rescued pitbulls a happy home. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that the disabled and mutilated animals seems to get placed the fastest. They really tug on the heartstrings.
