Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Well a friend said lets go down town aka down the street and look at the local mini mall. Lo and behold the front display cases were for rent right that second. So me and my friend are paying $8 a week each and a 5% fee on each item sold.

I'll put my smaller gear up there in the case and get a commercial domain name to post up there and I'll start listing all my gear there especially that which won't fit in the case. Good little addition to craigslist and reverb.

Factory work can be brutal. I believe had Julian seen me yesterday, even he would be shocked at the sweat and grime generated while burning through 825 lbs of baguette.

I think I'm going to have to pass on the sunn. Maybe even hold off on the Dually. The GF and I may be at an end which basically doubles my bills. Dark times loom.


Edit: today I used the air house to spray off my shirt after I finished a grueling run of 650lbs of baguette straight through. The flour and sweat had combined into a disgusting preferment. As the air hit the crap on my shirt(whole belly/chest region) it began to flake off and hit me in the face. On the bright side I bought some forearm and elbow underarmor stuff that you see football players where in effort to protect my arms from the already massive rashes spreading. They worked great. The itch is from the 5th layer of hell at least. As it turns out, I am allergic to rice flour.

Had some male bonding time today which I don't do often enough. My buddy sold me most of his guitar gear today since he is moving to a smaller house for $150. Not sure if the Doctor Fong thing is a car speaker or a monitor. He used it for playing acoustic through. Nothing fancy but I kind of dig the old Hondo bolt on Les Paul style and is not heavy which is nice for a les paul style. The Jackson is weird, shaped like a jaguar and has a lipstick neck pickup. A Carlos 12 string acoustic too. Hopefully I can sell what I don't keep.
Turned three people on to kava that were there too. Got nice and krunked today with an old buddy, fun day.

I know it sucks dude. Been averaging 120*+ nights recently in the kitchen. Mass of greasy sweat every night.

This sucks majorly, and i commiserate, my relationship has slowly ended over the past month. We dont live with each other, but it still sucks. Love the hell out of her little guys.

Any other books you guys have found valuable for your playing? Something that would be benefit heavier Doom stuff?

I picked up Bach Cello Suites for Electric Bass recently and it's fantastic. Not really beneficial to doom specifically per se, but it's great exercise in general and great melodic work.

That Jackson looks like their attempt at a squier '51

Leela got like a 1/4" toothpick diameter splinter in her toe pad and won't let me get it out. Vet said come back later this morning. So going to set up my area at the mall, then spend my money on her rediculous shenanigans/love.
