Uh huh...secret show, eh? Was anyone else in on the secret? We totally could but, aperrently given the FB statuses, he plans to play Days of the Doomed without us, and had a secret show last night...
So he played a FM show without you or the drummer?
I saw Tremors at the drive in. shaging awesome.Last drive-in movie I saw was I think Batman Forever, the one with Arnold as Mr. Freeze. Rotten.
That's some lameness. My drummer and I did a two piece set because our old guitar player backed out of a 4/20 house show. He quit like two months later giving us just two weeks to teach a new guitar player 6 songs. Also partly what held us up as a band. Now we are solid and writing riffs I could never write by myself. I write the basic skeleton and Nick writes awesome complimentary riffs and fills. Not to mention killer solos. He plays like Pike. First time he busted a solo, my jaw dropped, I stopped, and just stared. He looked with a smile like, what's wrong dude? I said, nothing. Your shaging solo rules. He just laughed and was like, wait til we get poopie tight. We totally could but, aperrently given the FB statuses, he plans to play Days of the Doomed without us, and had a secret show last night...
Everyone should unlike the Facebook. I just read some poopie that was like, sucks the people that needed to be there to play, weren't there... How about tell your band mates? What a douchnozzle.I guess, I can only imagine what it sounded like.
So they just announced the lineup for riot fest in Chicago. Gwar is playing....now I know they were doing the gwar-bq but I figured that was going to be a final send off/tribute kind of deal.
They can't keep Gwar going without Dave Brockie...I mean I know they replaced members throughout the years in the same costumes, and they retired flatulus when he died a few years ago. But gwar without Brockie? That's just not cool, nor is it Gwar. Like them or not, that guy was a genius in what he did.
I thought about that but wouldn't that rob the bass of whatever value it does have?Pull the guts from it and rewire it with something else and move it on.
Good idea. I'll give that a shot. If I can get it 90% there it should be keepable. Bastard sounds so good, but I can only do so much with open notes and a bass face.Balance trick on that hondo. Take out one of neck plate bolts and replace it with a strap button. It's not perfect but it's a lot better than the stock horn strap button. Kind of like playing an old gibson.
Not good, I'm guessing.I guess, I can only imagine what it sounded like.
