I reached out the guy looking for the Vulcan locally (still wasn't convinced it wasn't max). Anyways turns out he creeps the doom room and Facebook peavey kvlt.

He is currently tracing the Vulcan circuit to clone it and apparently has a whole stable of peavey 70's solid state awesome.

Come on by we got:
Sugar gliders, hedgehogs, Brazilian short tail opposums, chinchillas, pacific parotlets, Cuban rock iguana, ornate uromastyx, Mexican beaded lizard, albino gohper snake, western hognose, corn snakes, legless lizards, spur-thighed tortoises, mini goat, mini pig, and plain old dogs and cats

Before everybody gets overly enthusiastic, let me note that here in Metro Phoenix, AZ, it is currently 110 degrees F.

And the 10-day forecast says 10 days from now it will be.... 110 degrees F. As doom bass dudes tend toward being large and hairy, beware.

But seriously, best of luck to you, Muddslide. At least out in Lake Havasu, you don't have the asphalt megalopolis heat island effect, so I imagine it actually cools off after dark.

Yeah, I hear the gigantic lake (something like 500+ miles of shoreline I believe, AND the actual London Bridge!) mitigates some of the heat.

Plus, I have spent a good deal of time in the AZ desert and cities like Tuscon during the hottest parts of summer, though it's been some years.

Where I'm at, supposed to be 103 all week, but we'll also have 80%+ humidity.

It's just different...harder to take the heat with high humidity. Constant sweating, takes your breath away.

The unofficial Arizona state motto of "Yeah, but its a DRY heat" really does hold a lot of significance.

Eh... see, that assumes that you'll sell it eventually. But when you sell your house, you still need a place to live, so you have to either turn around and buy another one, or you have to rent.

My family tends not to sell our houses anyway. I think my uncle was the last person, and only one in his generation to do so, when he moved to Germany for three years.

Probably. A 210 is no cab for doom. Get a 2x15.

Ugh, this drought is getting to me. I can't remember the last time it actually really rained.

I love rain, but only cold rain. That weird eastern warm rain stuff is not for me.

When I worked at the Honda dealership in Bartlesville Oklahoma we had a thermometer in my bay, one day in July 2011 ish it hit 122 degrees in my bay at 72% ish humidity. It's the only time I think I've ever actually had to take my shirt off while working lol.

Well, I couldn't contain GAS. Got the newest version of the Supercollider coming my way. Stoked!

In other news, I re-EQ'd my rig, and am loving the growl I'm getting out of my 700RB. My pedals sound amazing through it, and it might have solved my low-gain-to-fuzz problem. Maybe. Pharaoh sounds better with that EQ and growl, at least. Final judgment will be reserved until I get the GK Rails Pedal back. The plan is to set the Rails Pedal to attain this level of growl I really like, and then set the amp super clean. Then, I'll have clean GK, growling GK, and pedals running through both if I want that sound. And the Supercollider may take the Pharaoh's place. We'll see.

Related: What's the "super clean" setting on a 700RB? I'm assuming no boost, no presence or contour?

Been SUPER busy as of late with the new apprenticeship, BUT mo money, mo Peaveys...

Da MACE is back and how I missed it so.

Galactic Hatchet has a few shows this August that were getting ready for. We're debuting a new song on the 21st here in MKE, our most complex to date but we got it down pat and are going to crush people. AND Planning on hauling a FULL 4 head, 5 cab PVYHenge out to Madtown for a DIY fest at the end of August, that will be real fun!!!

ALSO, Moving in with the ladyfriend this month too. Found a nice 3 bedroom lower for a great price, so I get my amp room and she gets a closet/office.


Thats about it...I think.
