Used to go to the IJSBA races at Havasu every October. There are some spectacular lightning storms that roll through. Just not so much fun in a tent.^^^
PS...one thing that could possibly get on my head is the 300+ days of sun per year in Mohave County.
I like some overcast days and rain.
One thing I can say for Oklahoma--some of the most amazing thunderstorms you'll ever experience.
Been SUPER busy as of late with the new apprenticeship, BUT mo money, mo Peaveys...
Da MACE is back and how I missed it so.
Galactic Hatchet has a few shows this August that were getting ready for. We're debuting a new song on the 21st here in MKE, our most complex to date but we got it down pat and are going to crush people. AND Planning on hauling a FULL 4 head, 5 cab PVYHenge out to Madtown for a DIY fest at the end of August, that will be real fun!!!

ALSO, Moving in with the ladyfriend this month too. Found a nice 3 bedroom lower for a great price, so I get my amp room and she gets a closet/office.
Thats about it...I think.

Well, I couldn't contain GAS. Got the newest version of the Supercollider coming my way. Stoked!
In other news, I re-EQ'd my rig, and am loving the growl I'm getting out of my 700RB. My pedals sound amazing through it, and it might have solved my low-gain-to-fuzz problem. Maybe. Pharaoh sounds better with that EQ and growl, at least. Final judgment will be reserved until I get the GK Rails Pedal back. The plan is to set the Rails Pedal to attain this level of growl I really like, and then set the amp super clean. Then, I'll have clean GK, growling GK, and pedals running through both if I want that sound. And the Supercollider may take the Pharaoh's place. We'll see.
Related: What's the "super clean" setting on a 700RB? I'm assuming no boost, no presence or contour?
This thing is local to me and a killer deal, if anyone here wants it i can facilitate the deal:

Very good condition, tested as working
You get his name? I probably know him from the KVLT.
Moving anything heavier than 3 lbs. is suck. #lazymanthatiamLucked out and one the ol' ladie's dog grooming customers has a spare stainless double door refrigerator they don't need anymore for $300 and they live a street over. Plus the front end stuff with my SUV is not an immediate repair need so I can keep limping it while looking for something else. @Kawai-chang Getting my 16 Horspeower on this morning, alt country and kava are great for those stressful homeowner days. Slammed two tumblers of kava before dinner, man I love that stuff. Having to move the old and new refrigerators tonight is suck though.
At least it's nice and cool there to make the wait easier.96 degrees today. Supposed to reach 100 on Saturday and then to be in the mid 90s for at least a week. I'm literally melting.
Megalith clone should be here today, but no luck so far. It all started when a courier who was supposed to pick up the package had an accident and didn't. Then, next day, two FNG's were picking up the package and they didn't make it. The builder went to the delivery point himself and left the package, but it was too late to send it on Tuesday, so it supposedly went out yesterday. It still isn't here. Just my luck. Normal mail would be faster.

I hear you. I've really had to take a hard look at what my hobbies/projects are and make some tough decisions on what to keep and what to give up on.
Probably just limit the boost. My mb500 was very clean, still kinda growly amp at most settings though.
Ooh how much does shipping that bastard cost you think? Just curious
Tom and jerry, he's the name of the cat.

I am the lone musician in my family.I hear you. Had to do this even with stuff I used to collect.
I once was into collecting old horror comics, anything Halloween-related (especially old vintage stuff), old magic paraphernalia, even coins.
Now I keep it to music, a few select films and a few select books on certain subjects.
As far as more "active" hobbies, I was once heavily into painting and photography.
When I became a family man, and as I've gotten older, I've had to winnow it down to what moves me the most and hits me where I live. I may take up painting again because it still haunts me, but music is more or less "it" for me outside of work and family, and fortunately my family all love and play music too.
