Yer probably at least as knowledgeable about Priest as I am, but I grew up on them (saw them live once even back in the early 80s.)

My faves will always be the "Sad Wings of Destiny" - "Sin After Sin" - "Stained Class" triad (as far as whole albums go), but I dig a lot of their later stuff too.

It's a Jay Turser copy, bolt on neck. Weighs about 4lbs (biggest gripe about LP being weight). It's probably basswood. It reminds me a lot, of my old Jackson Dinky.

When I was first learning, both guitar and bass, 'round about 92-93 or so, my main tomes of knowledge were We Sold Our Souls For Rock and Roll (the mid-70's greatest hits by Black Sabbath) and Metallica's Kill Em All. You can probably already hack all the basic Sabbath riffs by ear, but if you want to up your velocity and precision on 6-string, Kill Em All still makes a pretty fun workbook. Ride the Lightning, too.
I love Judas Priest. Stained Class and Screaming for Vengeance are all time faves. I refuse to pick one over the other because they are so different. But I love pretty much everything except the Turbo / Ram It Down mid-late 80's era.

That's handy they have a sticker inside detailing factory settings. Not handy if you don't know they are in there though.

That's the "Dirty Donny" edition, but even then, they omit a knob. And it's not internal, you actually pay more to get less options as that option doesn't exist on that version of the pedal.

A few years ago I gave one to a buddy that filled in for me short notice at a big gig. I should see if he still has it and if he's using it. Maybe I can "trade" for it...

I was born in 1990 and had no older siblings living in my house. Music listening didn't really hit me until 2003 and older metal or punk for that matter was just never really a part of it. It sounds very campy coming from the mind of someone who never liked metal then found kyuss and EW.


I also absolutely despise pink Floyd outside of the early syd Barrett stuff. So any doof with shrubs naturally thinks I've somehow never "understood" them and forces me to listen to them.

Though no one really digs my alt country, doomy, pop and grunginess much outside of here.

In all fairness, very few people I know in real life are into the music I am, i.e. this stuff. That was part of the last band's struggle. Their "heavy metal" was mostly just radio BS. I pretty much listen to anything, as long as it's good. I don't typically like people that don't write their own stuff, but whatever. People don't "understand" my music, but that's their problem, and I'm not gonna force my music on someone else.

I force Red Fang, Kyuss, High on Fire and others onto the Mexicans on a daily basis. There is only so much ranchero music I can take before the heavy needs to be freed.

Thought I'd share a picture from my ring of hell. The pano shot is where I work when I am on the deck ovens. The oven on the left is a 3 deck/6door and the one on the right is a 3 deck/9 door. I work them both a the same time. I did 690lbs this morning in two runs between 4-5:30AM for the 450lb run and 6-6:45 for a 240lb run. Probably had one of the most consistent bakes that I have done. 'Twas a good day for me and my team. I can share other bread we make if you guys are interested, but baguettes are always far more interesting than 12 buns on a pan.
