Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

So I've been using a korg pitchblack tuner on my board for bongripper for years. For whatever reason it seemed to track the low F better than other tuners.

With the EGC I wasn't finding that to be the case, so today I tried out my sonic research strobe tuner. And while it always tuned sometimes it was too accurate and I'd spend too much time trying to get it just right.

No longer the case, I was able I tune the EGC down to F with ease and quickly.

So looks like my board just got a bit more snobby.

Accompanied my girlfriend to a Katy Perry gig this evening, on the plus side got to see some pretty sweet EGC guitars and this massive poopie:

-10 DOOM points though

Well, considering it's the guitarist's doom band, which he started after ours and they've already played with Weedeater and we've never gigged and haven't practiced since March. Safe to say it's kind of DOA. No hard feelings on that front, it's a good band, but I didn't buy a drum kit to permanently donate to another band.

That shaging blows. Sorry to hear about it, man.

No kidding. While it is the better ampeg 410 I wouldn't give him half what he's asking.
Yeah... that's an absurd price for that rig. It's a good rig, I just don't think it's worth anywhere near $1200.

I think it's time to clear my gear that's in a practice space outta there. We haven't practiced in 2 months, I just saw pictures from one of the other guy's shows and it's full of my gear. I let them use stuff before, when asked, but they didn't ask me.
Dude, hella. That poopie isn't cool. Asking makes all the difference. They shouldn't just go using someone else's stuff without asking.

Damn dude that's unacceptable.
Hope things get better man.
UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!

Like that, but justified.

Sorry guys, feels like my posts lately are a constant stream of sob stories. Everything is cool personally and professionally, music related stuff has just been a crap sandwich lately.

Totally worth it for that Lemongrab clip though.

Fuuck that sh!t.

My practice space drama has resurfaced as well. Turns out the drummer is pissed as he now has two drum heads to replace, and possibly a cymbal.
