If you do, just use an Ultra Fine one (light gray colored Scotch-Brite pad) or something similar like 0000 steel wool. That way you just knock down the gloss and don't actually cut through the finish. Unfinished necks can be pretty cool on the right wood, but not good long term for most common neck woods.

Why I sold my Corvette, I kept wanting to change the pups for a more vintage tone. I had a MIM fretless Jazz I loved before it so thought ok let me gets one of them fancy smancy Warwicks. Loved the fit and finish but FN hated the tone.
Now these models do Rock well though. I'm a cheap date so figures I would like the cheapest model they used to have in the West German line. Streamer Standards with passive soap bars kind of TBirdish Gibby tones.

Man just felt like a junkie lol. I have a killer migraine and finally gave in and said ok time for an imitrex. The foil wrap was so tough that I used too much strength and the friggin thing went banging all around the wall in my office. Insurance only allows 9 a month so they are worth their weight in gold to me and the only thing that works on eye stabbers. So I am ripping apart and moving everything in my office to try and find it, even under my desk. Found it and my co-worker and I had a good laugh but shite migraines suck lol.

I get handed $295, and I am cool. The singer on the other hand is given $195. The drummer who handles the band finances tells him, "collect from your other band for the other 100."

He throws a fit because, "There is no way the 4 other guys (in his side project) are going to cover that." The drummer tells him there are five of them, so coming up with $100 shouldnt be tough. He is still pissed because he has to pay double.

So now with the broken gear, I am pretty sure the locks are getting changed ASAP.

It's simple. If they regularly use the space, they should pay rent. shag that guy and his non-paying side project.

I've had 2 Warwick's now, an old FNA, and a newer Rockbass Corvette, both were good but not exactly what I wanted, when I think Warwick I think late 90s BO Thumb. So if I was to buy one again I'd get one of those. Don't know how much id use it, if at all, I love the warwick tone but that tone isn't what I mm really looking for in heavy music.
