I played one at GC one time, it was one of the higher end models, and 2 things jumped out at me: the neck is baseball bat big, and it was as heavy as a dead hooker.

Random nothing to do with bass or music question for the guys here doing computer and desk jobs. I have a B.A. in Geography and wanted to be a park ranger or in conservation but ended up in GIS mapping(geo database work). Don't really enjoy it and with the migraines I am really hating computer troubleshooting work. I have the possible opportunity to switch to being a Park Ranger, but that means lower pay, maintenance work, and probably some janitorial work being the worst part of it. Would you take less pay and do more dirty work to enjoy the work day more?

I am actually considering going back to cooking right now. I would have to work two part time jobs, but at least I would enjoy the work.

Right now the pay/bullsh!t ratio of my job is way below unity.

I played the lowest model (I think it is the 200?) yesterday and I was blown away. The fit and finish of that bass is much closer to a $1000 bass, and the tone was great and insanely versatile. I could believe the difference in tone between the three pickup settings and I didn't even have time to mess with the EQ.

If anybody has been using one of these let me know what you think because it is definitely on my short list of basses now.

Loved my ATK700. Definitely one of the basses I regret selling the most.

Anyone got a link to that Rotor band? I looked it up and I'm absolutely sure the few bands I found were not what you guys were discussing lol. Unless they're a Mexican prog rock band or a speed metal band with a foreign language James Hetfield singing.

My pay/burned out ratio is in the same boat as you. I shouldn't have read all those damn Edward Abbey books over the years, the life of low wage part time park and fire ranger and full time womanizer must of been nice :thumbsup:

For me the problem is that my education, experience, and job performance line up with about a 135% increase in pay. I could deal with a lot more BS with that on the table.
