Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

There used to be a restaurant out here called Chino Bandito. yes. Chimexican burros and rice bowls. Seemed like a good idea. But it never went down quite right...

Here in STL we have a restaurant with two locations called Kim Cheese. It is a korean barbeque/mexican fusion place that is geared towards fast food. I don't think they have a drive through though. Its deliecious. Very fresh food, a range of spicy flavors and very interesting take on burritos. My bum is never left intact.

is it just me, or are all the guys that start off with "whats your bottom dollar price" just a total waste and usually acting dickish?

Yes. I had really a strange super awkward bird for a boss way back in the day before the interwebz. He would get the Auto Trader and call all these people about vintage cars. He would talk their ears off pretend like he was going to buy them but he had no intentions of buying them. He did this for years and years. I never knew if it was his attempt at talking to people because he was such an introvert or was he just being an epic dick. One day we ended up with a big goofy stuffed animal, we sat it in his chair with the arms of the animal holding an open Auto Trader. He was so pissed and it was so enjoyable to watch him lose his poopie over it. I felt like we were kind of paying the karma back from all the people he effed with on the phone.

actual conversation with guy who lives over six hours away ( i dont think I was being a dick):

guy-
I am in NE TN, may I ask you what your bottom dollar is to make this sale happen?

me-
honestly the lowest I was thinking of going was $800, but that would be for pickup or rather local meetup. As far as you are away I would assume you would need me to drive a good bit, so it would be $850 still.

guy-
Oh so my spending money on gas don't count

me-
Sorry, but making 4-6 hours free because someone asks me to drive across virginia and back is worth way more than the $50 to me.

guy-
Did I say anything yet about making you drive 6 hours..

me-
What are you suggesting then?

guy- no response

i mean, geez... the "bottom dollar" opener and then immediately antagonistic.

I went through a period where I was addicted to Hoisin sauce. Put that sh!t on everything. Loved making a grilled bagel sammich with some good turkey and provolone, then drizzle Hoisin all over it. But some Hoisin sauce is cheap and chemical tasting...can't think of the good brand I used to buy.

@Squanch72 --I'm with you on the DolGen Soul Food seasoning. It's surprising what you sometimes find on the cheap. My wife is a lotion addict. Her favorite lotion is some tube of coconut-and-whatever stuff she buys at Dollar Tree.

My stomach is fuggin' with me pretty bad of late. I have to really watch what I eat. No corn, low carbs, low starch, low fat...gonna get to where I can only eat broth and applesauce. At least that's good for weight loss (now down to 234 from a high of almost 500 pounds. Wearing regular XL shirts and size 42 pants, down from 5X and size 60 pants in 2010. Would like to get to somewhere between 180-200.)

My wife thinks my gall bladder is screwed. Looking up my symptoms, sounds like a good possibility.

I gots the cinder blocks, hog wire and wood. You bring the food.

I get one of those a week usually, I just say what's yours?

The gas/travel thing over an $850 instrument is dumtarded. You can't find it online for cheaper shipped, so you chose the driving route sorry, gas is part of the price. if it's over priced, or damaged then haggle, but if your GAS has you willing to drive 4-6 hours then that's on you.

if I'm buying/selling something under $30 and have to spend $5+ on gas/time, that's my only issue. Then it's the same matter of want/gas.
