Really hard to say. Stuff like that is really a crap-shoot. It says "Mic" input but YMMV I can't find a reliable manual online to verify impedance. Realistic brand equipment is not the most reliable stuff. Radio Shack brand crap.

Yeah those guys are great. Used to run into each other all the time back in the day. I'm a bit out of the loop these days due to the single dad thing... I don't get out much these days.

6 inputs but only two mic pres. Look for a larger version of that one, count the xlr inputs, that'll tell you how many mic preamps it has. I use my 12 channel behringer mixer a ton and it's held up with no issues for 8 years now. I got it cheap from work because it fell off the very top of the pallet racking, box was destroyed, mixer was severely dented, took it to the service department and it checked out fine. So they're durable, and they're super cheap used. Mine also has onboard effects that aren't terrible, controllable with a footswitch.

But listen to mbelue, i dont mean to discourage at all. I wanted to have a pa and live effects for my drums when i was playing in bands, it was a lot more expensive back then so I never made it happen. Microphones are cheap these days, and some of them are really pretty good. CAD is an excellent value for the money, plus you can mod them for the cost of a few dollars and they'll be on par with much more expensive mics.

I hope you can make it work the way you want it to, I'm sure it'll be badass no matter what you end up doing.

Doesn't the GK pedal (you still have?) do that for you if you don't crank the gain? I get a treble boost with mine, though admit it doesn't have a tone control. Or you still using it for the cranked tone?

I use it as a base for my main tones, which are slightly cranked. (Is that a thing?) I've toyed with the idea of using it like this, but by the time I get my base tones from it without using boost, the smallest amount of boost blasts my volume into the stratosphere and really cranks up the treble more than I'd like.

Just had a good jam session with a new vocalist. Promising. Definitely noticed and complimented my bass tone. That's a first for a vocalist!

Had a 4 channel version of this rmixer years back.

Older Realistic stuff can be okay. I used to have a Realistic Moog made specifically for Radio Shack back late 60s, early 70s. Good unit.

One regular TB member who doesn't post on this thread but is nevertheless cool has an old Realistic violin bass he uses all the time and digs a lot.

See mics will probably happen eventually, they just cost me more than piezos i currently have and don't totally do what I'm looking for (weirder sounds/strange project that might not produce results, but then the world shall know how not to do it!)

Now the mixer issue is, I need 5 balanced Mic inputs, but I want 1/4" jack inputs, so I can use regular guitar cables. Also I rather it be small a box as possible.

Lol this was all supposed to be the afterthought. The trouble was finding a quality way to mount the pickups... Time to study cigar box guitar builds.

There is a tandoori taco place I was told of, still need to find it.

Indian and Mexican do have somewhat similar flavor and style profiles.

It's weird when people post ads like "NEED to sell, cash only, firm price" then it never sells and they keep reposting it for months.

I always wonder if like their car got repo'd or insurance lapses or something just because they refuse anything but full value for their used mim strat.

I'll often buy Korean BBQ sauce from the Asian grocery store. Smell really shaging weird out of the bottle, but DAMN it's delicious on some grilled chicken or pork.
