Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

It gets into your soul. I like many topographies...mountains, plains, woods, jungle...but there's nothing hits me more profoundly than ocean coast and desert.

Yeah it takes me about three hours to see some mountains. I am used to living close to sea level from Florida and Virginia but there is always a sadness when driving back from PA. Eventually you realize there are no more mountains or hills on the horizon. Though seeing a dolphin pod playing in the water is cool too. Just wish I had the cash to travel.

Prickly pear, thorny mesquite and cedar scrub patches. Flowers so Texas spring/summer

Behind my parents neighborhood was like that, now it's another subdivision...

I wonder if the areas close to the 100th meridian, depending on which way the winds blows, does it change from hot/cold and muggy to hot/cold and dry.

I don't get migraines so I'm probably way less aware of wind and pressure change.

generally late October until June the air feels wetter. By June the rain stops, all the grass and flowers die and everything turns yellow and dry as hell.

I notice in my yard that spring brings long grass that always needs cutting that slowly dies back and heartier sticker weeds show up. Then as all that burns in the sun nothing comes up for several months. October some short grasses come, but the cold stops them and the yard stays short and dies off again until spring.

That is trippy. My girlfriend's family are from Waco originally. Her Dad told me that he was working on a vehicle there and knew it was hot but it was a dry day so he didn't have the sweat to warn him and he started to pass out. But other times he said it would be sticky.

Its easiest to tell for me in the morning or evening. Suns not there, but the heats stuck to you like a wet blanket.

About an hour drive and 30 minute dirt bike ride from my house. Covered in snow by now.

I've been playing an old late 80's/early 90's Warlock project that was in pieces a few weeks ago. It looks like hell and needs refinished and rewired. I threw it together out of boredom, the strings are just random used singles and yet it sounds delicious. I didn't like the neck at first but it's growing on me.

Pretty excited about this, I ordered it over a month ago it's the weber 6o100 kit(Orange or120 clone).

$395 without the cabinet but you gotta have some technical know how because there aren't step by step instructions just a schematic and wiring layout.

That's not a bad price for a full kit! I'm restoring a 20W Ampeg combo right now, but I'd like to build something from Weber eventually.

It's my first serious build and I know I probably should have started with something like a fender champ but I've been reading a ton so I feel prepared, and I really wanted this circuit.

I got it with kt66s so I could use both guitar and bass.
