Done & done! Yesterday was just windy. When we got back to Cedar Rapids, it was raining with low visibility so we landed with a thud, too. Was happy to get off that plane. My worst flight experience came earlier this year going to Denver, we flew through a thunderstorm and it was terrifying; I legit thought that one was the end.

Doing something for work and had to look up (715) area code.

Turns out it's Wisconsin, and there's only 4 area codes in all of WI, not very specific...

So curiosity had me look up the population of WI, and it's 5.7 million people. Holy cow my metro is 6.6 million! I think we have like 6 area codes just in the city. No wonder traffic can suck it here... We are a city state

In my experience, there are "practices" and "jams." I like the former to be efficient, more work-oriented, work out kinks, etc. Then the jams are just loud noise-fests in the basement.

My first though is that playing loud enough to push an SVT II in practice seems crazy.

Also there's certain gear that just sounds best at certain volumes. A lot of dirt just sounds mushy and undefined when run at low volumes IMO.

Never had to block a number before, just blocked friend I haven't seen in like a year.

This brazen dumbass keeps texting me and god knows how many in group texts, exactingly detailing all the various legally questionable things she can get...

I wish no ill on anyone. But she's asking for serious trouble from all directions. Can't be associated with that.

I always felt that the best way to practice is the same way you would play live. So yeah. Loud.

It is important to push your gear to and beyond live volume levels, or else you have the embarrassing situation I had where you goose your amp's volume by 1 notch and suddenly the amp overheats and goes into thermal shutdown while your band members ignore your call to wait ten seconds and start the song anyway. Don't anticipate having that problem with the SVT, thankfully.

It's not necessary to have EVERY practice be at live volume levels, but anyone that doesn't take a test run before playing out is asking for trouble.

At Walmart on Saturday I noticed there were other Krampus movies. I think there were three or four B movie ones there, and that was just Walmart. I really need to build a Christmas Horror movie collection. The usual ones aren't on Netflix anymore, like The Sint and Rare Exports.

And on the bass front, I am in love with Thunderbird pickups and D'Addario Chromes!!!

Christmas Horror Story features a climactic battle between Krampus and Santa Clause. Also Shatner and zombie elves.

Also, on the topic of redneck/weirdo documentaries, do you watch Alaskan Bush People? Buncha weirdos live off the grid in Alaska, pretty funny, decently entertaining.

I saw a preview of the Shatner Clause :) Krampus movie. Did you see it?

I saw Alaskan Bush People but wasn't sure it was ok, good to know, I will check it out.

Yeah, we watched it last week, it was surprisingly decent.

Alaskan Bush People gets a lot of flack for being "fake", i"m sure it's about as real as any reality show, but they seem to be decent people, and the show is entertaining. We watch it every week.
