Anything a bit more affordable? I don't need it THAT badly...

Thanks for the help, though! It's appreciated!

Honestly, I was just hoping I could plug into a cheap DI. I know NOTHING about this stuff. Would a DI work with headphones?
No. Completely wrong impedance. There are some pedals now that have both in one enclosure. 3leaf Enabler comes to mind.

Low level signals from an instrument just don't match well with headphones. A DI is designed to match them with a mixer or recording interface that wants a Mic input.

You are looking for a headphone amplifier.

The gig was a 4 hour old school country/rockabilly thing. Upright and electric. Just never was quite able to dial in anything I loved on either instrument :/

Dial anything cool in when not going for that tone? Shame to hear, might be good enough for me, but if a used gk is cheaper... No need to think on that. Thanks for the mini review.

Brought home a Manley Laboratories Core channel strip from work. Will play around with that and record some quick demo style stuff tommorow. Bought some demo samples at/for work, since it's already open and used I get to play with it. Don't get to keep it though.

What is that exactly? I looked it up and is it a vocal unit or did I just seriously misread it.

Bad monkey and the samsamp vt both have speaker sims. I've used the bad monkey as a headphone amp. It's in mono though.

Doesn't your GK amp have a headphone out? Maybe not speaker sim, not sure. I just never think of my cab as being part of the sound. Maybe not true, but I wanted the dually to just reproduce what I did loudly without farts.

All tube channel strip, which had a preamp, parametric eq, compressor and limiter. Can be used for vocals, but really it can be used for almost anything. I have a feeling that it'll make an awesome bass preamp - especially with the Altec power amp.

Had a late night Kava fueled drone listening sesh last night and ended up buying one of these drone synth guys, cant wait to pump this guy through a bunch of reverb and PVYHenge. And make for some real freq worship

I picked up a Dwarfcarft Satan Oscillate My Metallic Sonatas a while ago but haven't had a chance to really use it yet. the one thing i really like is that I can run in in line with my bass chain.

First gig with the stoner band last night, went pretty well considering we had about a day to practice all together. Thinking that I need to ditch my fuzz pedal, I just get so lost in the mix when I run it, even though it sounds awesome. Got asked to open for the EP release of a band we really like, and made some good contacts. Now I just need to convince everyone we need to play f^&*in louder. The HA3500 went pretty well too, I just need a little more practice getting a good tone with it. Took pedals well.

So never had a dog before. Leela is super pushy around the ladies, she tries to be the barrier between me and then. If we get nasty, she gets mad and keeps trying to touch and be all over me and whoever while growling at the ladies.

Also she keeps hunting down spent condoms and eating them. Found two in her poops in the last day and half.

Yuck. Dogs don't have egos, really. They just love structure. If you ain't the boss, she'll assume it's her job. I think, anyway :)
