I also run the verellen with Master dimed and use the pre as a volume control. Gets a much better tone that way to my ears. We run at about half volume most the time. Some venues we get away with more but it seems like people around here aren't used to super loud music. Hopefully we can do some out of state shows and get to crank it.

Yeah, master on 10, OD on 10, preamp gain to the appropriate volume sounds AMAZING. If you ever want to come to Wisco let me know and we can set something up.
The lore behind that jazz neck is true... and understated by @Pelham Bleu in my opinion. Full flame on the board, center strip of the 3 piece has a decent amount of birdseye and the frets are in immaculate condition. They may as well be brand new, because the ONLY time I've ever had a bass that had frets that looked like that was when I first bought my old MIA 5 string p bass deluxe.

All this time and I literally had to image search a Beta 115 because I never even noticed that it was sealed. D'oh.
False, your idea of loud is right where it should be. Other opinions are skewed.
This is us. We get away with asinine volumes live and have a similar quarterly reassessment of practice volume. My bandmates are good buddies with all of the important people at the local metal and rock venues. I think in part because our lead guitarist was fronted one of the most successful local rock and roll bands until the drummer couldn't perform anymore. Actually that drummer just passed this past week. He had cancer. That band played a reunion show right when I joined up with Valley and the guys were really urging me to go but I didn't because I was being my introverted self. The band was called Shame Club and the drummer was Kenneth McCray. In the past week there have been countless local articles dubbing him the best drummer in STL. I obviously didn't know him but damn near everyone in the local metal and rock scene did. I'm disappointed that I missed my one opportunity to see him and meet him. He also played in the bands the Tilts and Superjam if y'all have heard of them. He played a MASSIVE kick drum. I'm not even sure what size it was

I posted some pedals for sale on reverb, one of them being the EQD speaker cranker. I put it up for $60 + $10 shipping. Some guy offered me $50 plus shipping and I was about to accept and then I thought about it and declined. I'm already asking the low end of the price spectrum. Well he just made another offer of $58 + shipping. I'll accept this because I'm not going to be petty over $2. It just seems silly to make an offer like that. I mean we were only talking about a $10 difference anyway, to come up $8 is hardly a haggling victory. It just struck me as a little odd. I'm sure you guys have experienced similar situations. Part of me wants to hold out for the extra $2 only because as I said, I'm asking the low low end. The other part of me is saying f*** it, take the money and run if you would have been satisfied with $60.
The final part of me wants to just sit on the offer and wait until the last 5 minutes to accept or decline. Maybe he will let impulse get the best of him. Is filibustering to maintain asking price more or less petty than haggling a $60 pedal down $2?

I don't know, but I don't think I'd trust some nutter who haggles over $2 in a sale anyway.
I received a message seconds after making that post. Apparently $68 was all he had in his PayPal account otherwise I'm sure he would have paid in full. I sold it. I am not going to be a crab about $2.
I deal with weirdoze on Reverb all the time. If I have something at 200 and someone offers 120, I'll thank them for the offer and counter at 195.
For yoga classes, back of the room typically provides the best view.

Hey guys. I am going to play my first live show in less than a month. I just got this amp: Acoustic B450MK2. I had to sell my car to buy it. I live in an apartment and I can't play around with the rig too much, I need any tips on EQ settings for a small venue thats holds 80 people. I will be using a Warwick with active j pickups.

And my perception of volume is way skewed hah! If Im just running one head and one cab, I think to myself "how do bassists do it? this is like nothing... oh yeah they're guitarists use a 30watt 112 combo."
Working on finalizing the artwork for my pharaoh clone. I'll unveil to you guys the theme as I've kept it secret elsewhere, not that it matters, they won't be available for sale per rullywow's policy; but I may consider a little side project for some of you all.
Keeping with the Egyptian theme to pay homage to the Pharaoh, the pedal will be called the Shemsu fuzz, an Egyptian demon and God of pressed wine, fine oils, blood, slaughter and execution. Also known as the "Slaughterer of the Gods". Hi/low switch will be wine/oil, tone and high knobs will be blood and scream and the fuzz and volume will be executions do slaughter. I'll post pics of the box when it's painted. It will fit into an MXR sized gold box. With some badass vintagey knobs. I'm pumped.

People are pansies when it comes to loud music nowadays. Always winge-ing on about hearing loss and blah-blah-blah. People sat like 10ft from Cream and Hendrix, I don't think they were complaining. I don't go to a rock show to listen to things at a moderate level. Of course, that may be linked to hearing loss from standing in front of a cranked Vox and Tele for years...
Graduating class: 7. Even at the local high school that I went to for band the graduating class was only 63.

I'm not normally a pedal guy outside of a wah, phaser, and some basic fuzzes, but I've been looking for a Dallas Rangemaster clone and stumbled upon this Australian outfit, [This invalid link has been removed]. Check out the Sonic Violence Bass demo soundclip (also the Dragonaut one). I think I need that, it sound gnarly. It's also a big fat pedal, and I'm a sucker for inconveniently large pedals.
The Holy Mountain isn't a slouch either, sounds pretty cool.
Around 250. Whole school was around 1200.
Pretty gnarly. Costly, though.
EDIT: That Sonic Violence pedal is LM308 based, so it's pretty much a RAT with a boost I guess. Still cool sounding. I'd love that Holy Mountain preamp.

You probably did and I probably thought " I can't cuz I;m right on the edge of thermal shutdown." Not an issue with the new rig - it's LOUD.
shaging foot is still killing me. The norcos just barely take the edge off. Sick of it.
