Then use the remainder of the cash to rename the Sun "Sunn"
I eventually peeked her name at her school ID when she showed it to someone. She never knew. I hope.

That thing sounds great. Really expected the fuzz to sound like crap.
Nah. I wasn't playing with anyone at the time. I wanted the Eden and bought it new off EBay. I put a bid down that I was sure would be outbid as it was less than the average used price. 6 days later I had forgotten the bid, bought the GB and found out I won the auction for the Eden. So I had two amps and enough cheese for one. Thankfully a local friend was also looking for an amp and bought the GB off of me. I wish Eden put their full WT550 preamp in a 1U chassis and then sold it for a reasonable price. Their name just doesn't command $1000+ anymore.
Just going to throw it out there that this SP5 is pretty close to my ideal, and it stresses me out that I dont own one...
Also, I thought I would update the thread count since we are in to 2016. 127,745 posts!

Sold my Megalith to @Jolagh as part of my gear purge. Quick and easy transaction.
Traded my MIJ Ibanez J to @Turkeypills for his Sunn Beta Bass 115. He now believes the hype re: dat neck! The Beta, meanwhile has a great vintage tone (and is fugging loud!) and will come in handy for a couple basement house shows I'm doing this winter/spring.
In other news, I'm up for trades if anyone wants an OG DOD Meat Box to summon beasts from the Earth's core.

There's a dude in town that's been a few different crust/punk bands that has both a Beta 115 and Beta 410 combo. He'll bring both to a show and run both of them.
Sounds like a loud arrangement. I gigged the Beta 115 immediately after meeting up with Mike for the trade and I had it on four and it was roaring loud. The sealed 115 definitely doesn't have the lows I'm used to, but it does have a tasty low mid push to it. Sounds awesome run into the 3620 (obviously).
I didn't think he was super loud at any shows I've seen him do, but neither were the guitar players in those bands. But I've been using 800-1100W solid state and 300W tube amps for the last several years so my idea loud might be a little skewed.
Yeah, vol. is definitely relative. MDT doesn't play "loud" in an absolute sense, but we're usually louder than any other band we share a bill with. Plus my guitarist in MDT doesn't play all that loudly, either. Hence 4 on the Beta being more than enough. HC is louder than MDT, but still not master vol. near dimed loud. Most of the venues in my area (and the crowds) just can't take that.
I dime the master on the 2PRO but I'm using the Preamp gain as a volume control. We're lucky in Madison, we can be STUPID loud and venues don't care. I've had more audience members yell at me to turn up than people saying we're too loud.
We've been attempting to control volume at practice, with varying degrees of success. One week the guitarists couldn't hear the drums and we all realized that it had gotten a little out of hand, haha.
