Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Happy Birthday Julian! [it's my name also:hyper:]

Hi Askrere! Playing my first gig April 1st...I am from Miami Florida. Band's name is: Terminal Fate

I'm having bass withdrawal these past few days... Last week while changing the the 9v battery, the electronics failed. So I sent my baby to the kansas warranty factory[Musiciansfriend].I get a response on the status of my baby next thursday, I'm really hoping they don't make
me pay for the pickups/pots/electronics... I almost impulsively bought a Squire Bronco this morning from Sam Ash for $140; I'm glad my friend stopped me and said: "Dude, you still owe $800 on your musicians friend platinum[CreditCard]"
Random story I know, just wanted to share it with you guys.

Here's a little clip from a rehersal on New Year's.

Disclaimer:
I make very weird facial expressions, and my eyes roll back [ I am not on drugs, it's nerve damage from a concussion]

Hey @JulienneFrankus

Bronco is awesome, but yea no need to indebt yourself for one.

Spent entire day car shopping/almost buying for a friend with anxiety who can't haggle. Had to go home empty handed as I left for 3 min to pee and they jumped on her and she admitted her price range that was above what I had been angling, and they refused to haggle after that... Oh well. Still love taking free food and drinks from the dealership and practicing my dealing skills.

really not a good weekend so far, earlier today band practice was cancelled due to a sleepy/grumpy gf, the truss rod snapped like a twig this morning on the black 90s LB100 bass that I bought last year for my birthday, and yesterday the clog remover ate up the pipes below the bathroom sink

hopefully i can cover all the expenses and still pay my property taxes, ugh

70's Aluminum Neck Kramer Project

Relevant to interests here. My 70's Kramer Project thread.
Not a PAF fan?
Didn't know the tuners were riveted, kinda bummer.
Why the hell would anyone cut pickup holes like that?

Either way if you got a good price there's no better vintage bass to mod.

When it rains it pours. Your luck is bound to change.

Free hand routing, what a bad idea.

I'm not a P fan, really at all. J bass or humbuckers usually. Guild Bi-sonic is my favorite, so I'm going that route.

That's very nice of you to help your friend like that; I get panic attacks when I am in debt; I have been coerced into buying several lemon cars on craiglist $2k-5k range, about 3 times. I get extreme anxiety when I purchase anything face-to-face that involves credit score requirements/ monthly installments. It put a smirk on my face to read that you got a kick out of practicing your dealing/hagling skills.

Anyone care to chime in on any tips for my first live performance? Practice rituals/staying calm/etc*
I don't drink alcohol anymore, and bud makes me paranoid.

I love this thread, cool people, cool stories of daily life
