They were notoriously awful cars, one of GM's first attempts at moving away from big gas guzzlers to "compact" fuel efficient vehicles. Inline 4-cylinder engine was standard, terrible reliability and rust issues. But they looked kinda cool.

Doubt a stock model could muster up the strength to haul a Peavey Henge uphill. Downhill would probably be fine.

molten metal gossip - while touring a shop recently i saw a 240 watt all tube head for bass and or guitar that was a late 60s boutique head
apparently, it's going to be cloned for today in somewhat limited numbers(it was actually made for outdoor music festival shows)
this kind of inspires me to get into more performance art festivals so we can really turn things up and mic the drums

When VEGA was still a thing we joked about owning a couple of those and caravaning to gigs.

I love utilitarian vehicles. Some people rubberneck sports cars. Whenever I see one of these Transits or a Dodge Sprinter RV model those are my vehicle crushes. Congrats!!! I sold a recumbent bike to a guy who had a Transit. Just rolled it right in the back no problem, no need to pop the tire off or tie it to the top. He said it has been treating him well and he gets 25mph like you said.

On GAS news I am only really lusting for a treble modded Way Huge Pork Loin, but spending my extra cash on a stand up paddleboard, to get outdoors more this summer.

Get one! Love mine for guitar and bass!

I dug the pork loin when I tried it, both with and without the mod.

The M85 sounded so shaging brutal at high volume through the svt last week that I considered sending Ryan a thank you card. Not metal, but God DAMN that sh*t sounded heavy.

We were working on our doom dirge, big open string notes with ridiculous sustain blooming into feedback, ticking my nosehairs. So awesome.

Debadged and KVLTified Hartley the Havler after work today. First of a few mods I plan on doing...Mud Flaps, OEM fog lights, remove the second redundant muffler, remove the hudcaps and repaint the steelies either white or black, upgrade the audio, hitch.

Well if no one's got anything else to share, here's a gut shot of my early 90's GK 400RB. I had to open her up to fix the input jack, which had just fallen into the chassis because the exterior nut had come loose. That's the only problem I've had in 21+ years of ownership, other than a losing a knob and a rubber foot.

I had my first jam last night playing surf rock on guitar with a drummer. Dude grew up in Palm Desert and asked me if I was into Yawning Man, so he passed the cool test right off the bat. Not bass or doom related, but it was fun and gave me back a lot of confidence in my musical ability I was sorely lacking lately. We just jammed, but I pulled out about 4 or 5 improvised jams within the style and it was pretty fun.

I also broke the crown (that I paid for completely out of pocket 2 years ago) that I just got a root canal in. So you know, the force balanced itself accordingly.

Just scored a cheap Rat online that I'm going to LM308-ify and maybe add a switched Reutz setting. Kind of an experiment to see what I can get for it online. Depending on the quality of the PCB I may upgrade some caps or change it asymmetrical clipping. I still have a bunch of extra parts left over from my Rat kit build so might as well put those to good use.

Should be fun and hopefully the ROI will be enough for me to buy a new rack case with wheels for the SVT.

Yeah, for real, potential for crossover influence is great. We clicked really well personally and musically. He even has a kid same exact age as mine and his wife said they don't really know any other parents or kids, so I told them I would put her in contact with my wife to meet a bunch of people for play dates and whatnot.

Dude, always room for inexpensive modded Rats! Is this one of the Chinese made compact pedals or something else?
