Im undecided about art, ink color or knob placement. What do you guys think? Art may be difficult, with 5 knobs and a switch it's already pretty cluttered. I'm not sure if I should hand paint labels and call it good or if I can waterslide decal the box. Probably with red ink, though white would be killer not sure if it's feasible though.

Knobs are volume, distortion, filter, sweep and clean. Switch is between Si and LED clippers.

Looking sweet! I like 1, 2, and 3. Fan of symmetry I guess. I haven't come up with any good way of doing graphics on dark boxes yet either. Tough one! Most printers don't do white ink, so that's a pain. (If you can find someone with an OKI brand laser printer, some models can do white toner) Even colored ink/toner over black, doesn't pop very well in low light. LMK if you come up with a good solution! White Powerdercoating graphics works, but is hella pricey for one-off units from what I've found. Some laser etching places will etch painted metal, but it can have varied results depending on the type of paint used on the box.

I'm thinking acrylic paint and lacquer clear coat. I could also just order a bare enclosure and have Matt Dunn etch something for a price. I do have to order a dozen or so 1uf film caps because I can't find any locally. I have 2 MLCCs but need 2 for the rat circuit and 3 for the panner.

If the rat turns out well I have plans to build a rat and muff running in parallel with a blend between the two via JMK paralyzer. Or I could do a rat/OCD a al the new bongripper Fuzzrocious limited that sold out in an hour. That with a master clean blend could be pretty ****ing cool...

With 4 pcbs it will have to be a pretty big box as I am not a layout magician, but that could also give me space to add a feedback loop on a momentary. HMMMM!!?!?!

I really would like to find an old (probably as new as possible) ford ranger edge with 4WD and *ideally* the plastic lined interior.

That's a specific wish but I don't really want another vehicle without 4WD, I like the utility of a pickup and space of a crew cab and I like the idea of not giving an F about the interior cause I leave work DIRTY.

Unfortunately a new pickup is WAY out of my range and though they are making a comeback, small pickups with good engines are rareish; especially the one I want.

I used to drive an explorer and I prefer to have it as an option. I *could* get around most of my driving with a FWD vehicle, but even they struggle to get through my parents neighborhood to their house. Without 4WD it's about a 1.5 mile hike uphill from the entrance when it has snowed. Not to mention their driveway is incredibly difficult to get out of in inclement weather without it.

I currently drive a RWD and struggle to get on to my parking slab with 1/4" of snow or sometimes a lot of rain. My tires are in good shape.

Ahhh, okay, that makes total sense.

My van is front wheel drive.

Really want a Fwonkbeta. Also really want to build a legit all purpose demon summoning pedal. Also really want to get a 3 prong plug and some fresh glass in my 2000s. If the amp and my pedalboard are plugged into the same strip I get a shock when I touch the metal board. Fuuuuuugggggg.

Boards are ordered for the DIY box, but if I get the Fwonk I'll have to wait another paycheck to order components. 2000s refreshment will take 2-3 pay periods and nix the other two. The Fwonk goes up in price from $140-$190 on Tuesday I believe.

Finally found the right combo of KVLTness for SHOGUN...3120 through 810s crushes with a dimed DOD250 and my trusty WUMBO muff slamming the clean channel with a bit of verb ala Ghost Echo along with the jumped Vulcan with its franken 218 because it is my sonic identity. Bass is a cheap Crate P bass that has this weird low output pickup that works great with fuzzies.
