Recently I A/Bed it with my 215s using the 2000s with same settings. All other variables controlled, the 215s is much louder and deeper. The dually can obviously take all of the power that the 2000s can dish out including fuzz but I am nervous about pushing those K140s with fuzz beyond the 2000s clean power. The dually has a more high end and a clearer midrange, but even with the bass dimed and bass boost engaged on the amp it still moves less air and has less lows than the 215s. As the 2000s goes up in volume, the 215s maintains a fairly even frequency response maintaining all of its low end and moving more and more air. The dually gets marginally louder which I attribute to the added highs and detailed mids, but the lowend bottoms out fairly quickly.
I emailed the builder with a lengthy diatribe detailed all of the tests I have done and my experiences using it in a band scenario. Hopefully the solution is something easy such as adjusting the port length. Crossing my fingers that I will not have to ship it halfway across the country, but I guess I'll do what I have to do.
I really love the sound of the cab at low, personal practice volumes. In a band setting though I don't see it getting used much at all. I want to love it for those situations as well.
