typically on faster stuff i don't use fuzz. I'll stick to a medium OD and pluck closer to the bridge.
I finished my rat last night. Fired up first try. Pretty happy considering it was my first multi circuit box. The LED has a nice 1.2k CLR leaving a lovely trace of dots as you look into the red pits of LED hell. Currently has LED diodes, a lift leaving only lm308 grind and an asymmetrical set comprised of two 1N34a germanium and a 1N914 silicon.

Finished Rat. Came out great. Real happy with the variety I can squeeze out of this guy.
Really been looking at a Rat. Got a DSOM local, but don't want to put down the cash offered. Should have an Eno clone from CL today, but dude hasn't told me when/where besides maybe sometime today. Want to get that Rat, but not sure if it's the sound I want. For what I'd pay this guy, though, who cares!
I've decided that I want at least one of each of the "big" dirt pedals out there like muff, OCD, TS, etc. Clones are fine by me, but I just want one to have in the toolbox, you know?
That's part of the reason I build. I bet the DSOM is great. I loved the HS. I felt like it needed a blend and I wouldn't be surprised if I felt the same about the DSOM. If I were to look for another AE pedal it would be one of the deluxe pedals or a demon lung. I'd be curious to hear a few different boutique rats lined up.
If the CL deal doesn't happen, I MAY get the local DSOM. You'd b e welcome to give it a run-through should we ever actually meet.

Matthew from Dunn Effects was nice enough to sell a few Shoggoth PCB's a couple of weeks ago. I got it put together and am pretty hyped up on the sound. Though not a direct clone, it is similar to the Mountainking Megalith. The mids knob is extremely usable and makes the bass cut through like crazy. I kind of wish I had built it with the boost always on as it definitely sounds better with it engaged IMO. Here's a real quick clip I made at home just messing around. Both guitars (SG) and the bass (Fender J) are using the Shoggoth. I'm also dropping everything a 4th using the Bass Whammy. It's a really good sounding circuit and worth checking out. I think they run around $160 new
