Haven't seen that one before - the back panel says that all tubes are 6L6GC - does that mean that this is a SS Pre / Tube Power?

Yeah, that's a great deal, I'd grab it. If the preamp isn't to your liking you'll still have nice tube power section you can use with other heads/preamps.
Been noodling around on a cheap used Squier J 5'er lately. It looks and sounds pretty damn good. Not quite ready to play out with it, but a few more practices and I'll feel more comfortable. Theoretically I'd use it + a C standard bass to cover all the HC tunings live.

Speaking of squier, nearly grabbed a beat up white on white squier P from Pawn America last weekend. Bad paint job chipping off, knobs were missing, super high action. $59.00. Would be taking a gamble on the neck/truss rod working but it could be a fun project instrument. My sensible side won out and I left it there.
Just trying to get a little less sloppy with string noise on the wider neck. Other than that, no problem.
Meet up for the MX is in the works. If everything checks out I will have three peavey tube amps. 1000 watts. Wonder if @mc_muench will be able to hear me across the lake.
I've never had any problems with 5 strings as far as playing goes, they actually mostly feel really comfortable to me. I always have a problem with tone though. The last one I owned was an EBMM Stringray 5 and it was the best feeling and one of the best looking basses I've ever owned, but the B string flat out disappeared in the mix at any setting. I think there might have been something wrong with it, because I have had several BEAD tuned 4 strings with zero issue and at the time I was playing out of an SVT stack, so there was no wanting for output volume or low end.

I think my Squier P with GZRs strung BEAD has more (low output) power than the Squier J V. Could be related to strings, though. The P has newer, heavier gauge strings. The J has whatever came on it; I decided I wasn't going to get new strings for it until I decided I was comfortable playing it out.
I still want to play around with another 5 string in the future, now that I've consistently gotten a good low B tone on a 4 string with a few basses. Now I know what scale length and string gauge works well. It's just down to the pickups after that I guess.

Hey guys, pretty new here. Don't post much. Anyway, I recently got an Acoustic 370 and I'm looking for a good cabinet to go with it.. I'm currently running it through an old bassman 215 but that has horrible low frequency response and I'm looking for something better. If you don't mind helping me out it would be much appreciated! My local craigslist is garbage and the only stores near me are Sam Ash and GC.

Considering that you may not want an expensive custom cab, look around for a peavey 215. Ideally a 215D. Find a pair of black widows or Eminence Delta 15s and call it a day.
If you want 10's or 12's I would still look for old peavey bass cabs and upgrade the speakers if needed. But 15's are my flavor.

Good starting point. Hows your back? Do you gig? If so what are you transporting gear with vehicle wise?
On another note. Dropped the Q10BX-D on my moving dolly for half of practice last night. Tightened up responce more than I figured it might. May need to make a specific dolly for this cab now.
