How's the low end?
I know already we are going to spend all our evenings this long holiday weekend deconstructing in minute detail her work / general-life angst issues and I will thus not be able to devote any attention to finishing vocals / rough mixing of the new EP, and I'm going to miss out a kick ass local show.
So my question to the hive mind is this:
How long will my hospital stay be if I point out to her the obvious PMS correlation?
I've actually had no problems doing a really heavy attack on the low B on my BEAD tuned basses. Sounds absolutely huge on all of them.I never got the weak B string complaints either. Not my experience at all, with multiple 5 strings and BEAD 4 strings. Sometimes it's a little floppier than I like, but that's a string issue. I just bought different strings and it fixed the problem. Also I think some people just aren't plucking the string properly. It seems counter intuitive because the string is so big, but I've found that lighter touch on B string can tighten/clean up the sound immensely. I love to do an aggressive fingerstyle pluck, but it's not always the best choice for a low B in my experience.
Don't do it. Back massage or something instead. So the wife has had a very difficult week at work. Her boss got laid off a while ago, upper management has a new re-org plan every 4 hours, she doesn't know who her boss is going to be, what she's supposed to work on long term, she spent all week stuck supporting some clown-ass badly written piece of software that she didn't write, she's angling for a different job in the same company but is worried about the political fallout, and she's overall been a total mess of stress.
Today, she reports feeling much better about the world despite the fact that none of these issues have been resolved.
And yes, I noticed the maxi-pad wrapper in the bathroom trash last night for the first time since last month.

Carry on and happy Memorial day weekend.
Finally got hold of the Greco single pickup T-bird. Awesome bass. Almost don't want to put it into C because it sounds so good in standard.
Anyone got experience with DR DDTs? Will a 115 C be too floppy?
Also, congrats Janitor, that's great.
