I saw a lot of stuff online regarding modding wah pedals as treble boosters or tone boosters or eq pedals, but I mean more along the lines of exactly the same function the tone knob on my bass does, just as an outboard effect. So like I run the tone knob on the bass wide open, and then can roll it off with the motion of the wah. I'm thinking it should just be a pretty straight forward pretty much wiring the tone circuit for my bass into the pedal, and it would be passive, but I'm probably not thinking it through enough yet.

That or find a cheap old Vox or crybaby. I got a model v847, very sturdy and easy to mod. Doesn't have a 9v out but you don't need one I guess.

Yeah, I have an old Bass Crybaby (not the 105Q) that I'll probably gut and rewire for the project.

Yeah, that makes more sense than a treble booster. It's a cool idea.

Used the Crayon at band practice last night, took a bit to get get it dialed in but once I did - holy balls it sounded massive! It's nice to have that awesome gritty/dirty od sound, but with a bass boost. Clarity and definition was still there, but Jesus the tone was shaging ridiculous.

It didn't replace the fuzz pedal, still used that on some of the older songs, but as a medium gain ballsy od it excels.

Edit; apparently "f*cking" gets auto corrected to "shaging" now. They could have at least spelled the word right. Makes me sound like a poorly educated Brit.

In a trade I got a monoprice flanger, so far I cannot dial in a tone I like, all the clips sound good, but I'm not digging it. Not sure if I just suck at dialing it in, low b sucks with it or just not what I was looking for.

It's basically a Mooer clone, so an upgraded deluxe electric mistress.

Going back to chorus...

I wouldn't really even compare those two kinds of effects. Completely different.

Been having a shoot out between the Sabbra Cadabra and the Fat Metal on guitar the last few days. Seems like splitting hairs. The SC is at about minimum brightness, the FM is about 3/4 brightness, with that being the biggest discernible difference to me. The SC has slightly harder edges to the breakup as well. What to do, what to do? I really need to clean out some pedals soon, and was hoping one of these would be a clear winner. Nope.

Good show and great hangs in Moline, IL played with a bunch of HS aged metal bands, but some actually good ones. They dug GH as well. Have a really short drive to iowa city today, but were gonna take the long way and follow the mississippi river partly, I brought my fishing polls, gonna see if we can catch us some free dinner.

The light totems are fugging awesome.

So my three favorite non Dirt effects ever were the chorus on my fender BXR 200 combo, and the tremolo and reverb on my peavey series 400 head.

If I could get those three turned into A pedal or rack/amp unit. I'd be so down.
By amp unit, it'd be cool to make a solid state spring reverb/tremolo unit in a head case based on that amps circuitry. Or make a head case with all my favorite pedal circuits. And use one foot switch controller.

my friend's wife and kid are going to miami for two weeks, that puts a lot of pressure on us to write as many songs as possible, record another quicky demo, and to jump on the bill uninvited at somebodyelses show
in other news my death metal corpse paint friend from las vegas moved back to joshua tree and we are doing an accordian/bass project out in the desert for the west coast mermaid parade start up, gonna definitely pickup a kala now, can't have one of my g&ls melting out there in the mojave
