Change that to a mauler sealed 218 that is as tall as a 810 and as wide as 412 and now were talking.

The ultimate vision is this...4 fridges (810, folded 18, 218, 3620) with the magic forumla of 2 10s to every 18...powered by the SVT slaved with Festival Booster. Yeah.

Hmmm...now that I play them back to back, this really super nice gear is about 1-10% better sounding than the cheap old stuff I already had.

I could sell this expensive gear and keep my cheap stuff...AND BUY THIS OTHER REALLY COOL PIECE OF GEAR.


I still get GAS, even after I figure out that some stuff is really nice, but overrated or maybe just not really necessary to get good sounds (unless you just want it, which is cool). So I would probably buy a tape machine, only use it at home or for recording, then pick up a pedal to get a similar sound live...then figure out that sounded fine and sell the tape machine so I can finance a different gear chase elsewhere.

That's kind of how I was with Gibson gear. I was obsessed with Gibson, bought really nice stuff new and vintage, then sold it all and just played a Carvin super strat haha. Then I got another vintage Gibson SG for free and f*ck me if I'm not going to play THAT, so hey. Doesn't really matter either way.

Ha ha, kinda, yeah, for me. For a dude who doesn't even like pedals all that much, I've gone through an alarming number of them. The only constant has been my Morley Dual Bass Wah. I've replaced the Digitech reverb I had for years with an EHX holy grail nano, which admittedly doesn't sound quite as amazing but is so much simpler to use and more reliable, which for live is what counts. I was using a regular EHX Big Muff for many years, but replaced it with the Bass Big Muff and Swollen Pickle, and then commissioned a Dunwich pedal to hopefully replace both of those. Before the Big Muff I used mainly crappy off brand distortion pedals. I still have some of them, somewhere.

I have actually used the same amplifier for the last six years or so, which is something. I want another one, but recognize that I don't actually need one, so I stick with it for now.

After having the same stable of basses for years, I sold off one (Ibanez Rick copy from the 70s) and then bought two others, ha. If I need to sell anything, I'll probably sell the 4003S, but I don't think I'll need to.

Finally added floor tom legs to my 11x14 virgin tom. Now I can finally easily play it with my kit and not use a too tall wobbly extra snare stand. Also it serves as the littlest bass drum you ever did see... Dewm as heck

looks like I captured a picture of the golden snitch as well.

He doesnt get that the feds are the ones making them skirt the language on "made in the USA" as that is a regulated claim. They can say something similar, but not use that exact statement unless it is true. What he is actually wanting, is more federal regulation, requiring them to divulge more information on the source of manufacturing. Which is kind of ironic considering his distaste for the feds.

NAD. 1971 "Blueline" Ampeg SVT. The Chicken head knobs weer ditched before I even turned it on, in favor for some very KVLT, OG tuxedo PVY knobs.

Now...holy shvt. This amp is no joke. SICKENINGLY LOUD through the 810TX amd folded 18, and thats with the setting pictured. Eats pedals for breakfest, lunch, and dinner, they have never sounded as good as now. Finally the headroom I need. This amp is on next level, cant be beat, holy grail status. It is THE bass amp of bass amps.
