One went for sale on here like 8 years ago with a matching Classic 400 that I almost bought... kicking myself bad.

Starting bass tracking for the 2nd HC EP tonight. Really looking forward to it! My rig will be Hiwatt 400 > 3620 with a MD421 on an 18. I'll have the Countryman DI b/w the 400 & 3620, too. I'm using the Ric to do all the E stnd and Drop D stuff this week, then I'll re-setup the Ric for C sntd and do all that stuff next. I have one song where I need AEAD, and I'll still use my modified Squier P for that.
Tonewise, I'm thinking of using mostly the Ric bridge pup w/vintage pot pulled out. Because that has a low end cut, I'm boosting lows using my Behringer Sansamp clone. I'm also using the Brilliant channel on the Hiwatt. If that ends up with too much attack, I can cut a little by using the Normal input, rolling off some tone on the Ric, or presence on the preamp.

I might just have to. I can combine one of the dates with a trip to Mom's house.
Anyone recommend a decent and decent prices volume pedal? I only really know the VPJR, and it could be fine but the string based mechanics seems like a bad idea.

My 14x22 bass drum needs just a little more sanding on the wood hoops then I can refinish the thing. Here it is mocked up with my bigger pieces as my big kit, vs the micro one.
I'm siding with Manila over brown and legal paper so far. Goes well with that map up there in the corner that will cover the smaller snare.
Anyone have a paper color thought or other cool paper I'm not thinking of (not a fan of comics FYI).

The tweed is cool, but it is in no way durable, stuff rips sooo easy.
Just make sure you budget some time to get the 3620 loaded out of my basement.
412 is already at MDT HQ.
... And Boris had to cancel tonight's performance. Earth is still playing. Was pumped to see Boris though. Oh well.
May be making a move to tube amp. More to come if the guy replies to my questions. 4xKT88 should have some chooch.
Just remember that KT88s are $50+ apiece. I think my JJs were $55. Had to buy six for the DR400. Walked bow-legged for a minute.
Ampeg has been using PCBs since about 1970 - with some of the tube sockets mounted right on the board (the HORROR). I think they know what they're doing.
