Congrats! I owned one of those once upon a time. Really great sounding, and the early to mid eighties G&L necks totally feel like home to me. Great score!

I'm all about this. My Ric and my jazz are both incredibly grindy with my ODs. I use a Big Game Bedlam V3 or a Dunwich ODB.
It's private. We did have fun in here. Some of the rogues still stop through this grotto every now and then.

S/D folks dig them because they have big low end, are versatile and look vintage cool. And they WERE cheap... a major qualifier for SD gear.
Regarding dirt and fuzz:
I don't like fuzz much anymore. The fact that both bands I play in have two guitars makes it really difficult for the bass to cut with fuzz. I much prefer OD. I'm currently using a Big Game Bedlam V3 for my main dirt and I really cannot lift this pedal up enough. It's incredibly versatile; 3 band EQ with a 3 position mid toggle, 9-18v, diode clipping and a bass cut for guitar usage. It also has a second footswitch for more gain. It's ugly as sin but sounds incredible. My ODB is my number 2 OD.
I used to love clean blends, especially those that are not just a clean volume control but a wet/dry pan control. Anymore I use lower gain with spiked mids, boosted bass and touch of treble. It gets plenty gnarly at volume and I have big low end.

I joined a death metal band called The Cultist with Matt Dunn of Dunn effects. It's been awesome so far; way out of my comfort zone but an awesome musical push. It's also great talking shop with him and shooting pedal ideas and concepts around. I also bought a Ric and got a stupid cheap deal on an all OG 74 Ripper win the tortoise guard.
Also, I broke up with my GF of 5 years. Two and a half weeks later, my dog was stolen. Before anyone says it, no she did not take the dog. Works been insane. I'm just starting to climb out of the deepest hole I've ever been in that didn't involve copious narcotic abuse.
I'm getting ready to slap together some PCBs that Matt designed to make a 36v Bifet with a gain switch to send it more into OD. It's going to be rad.

@rxdiablo this is why you need to make the leap to dual duallies.
My current doom band board. Actually it's gonna live like this for a while and I can say that with confidence.

Oooh, that Dually stack is beautiful! I've paired mine with an Ampeg 8-10 or a Sunn 2-15, but neither a match for the Dually. We need to start playing bigger venues so I can justify the cost!
I've got a similar year Ripper, but picked mine up for way cheap with a bolted on jazz bass neck.

So I think this guy is gonna be for sale. Nothing wrong with it, I'm just flush with basses and have some other short scales that do the same thing. If anybody is interested let me know.
i'd like to use this for a flyer or something, the bird was super far away and i had to use my giant zoom

Looks like I'm making a trip to Montreal this summer:
Had a T45 for a min before some bills forced me selling some gear. I was really happy with it aside from some quirks. The neck edge roll over was harsh to my hands. Also the neck being a two piece laminate was not as stable as others that are three to five piece laminates. It was heavy but that's not a huge issues for me... The winning part was the passive pickup and coil control is pretty special it offered a wide array of tones. Took to pedals really well. One day I may try one again. They are gaining more popularity and prices are going up.
