I would happily go see a stoner band named after an old Japanese battleship. That would be a worthwhile way to spend an evening.

I meant more the use of various idioms. Most Cracked articles to me read the way I think of my friends from college speaking. But yeah, the articles are way funnier than the videos.

So, I'm obsessed with old EHX pedals now. After getting the Bad Stone partly working I've ordered new pots for it and asked a bunch of questions on the Vintage EHX forums. I'm having a hard time concentrating on work and I keep refreshing the thread over there waiting for answers. Can't wait to get this thing back to its former glory, then tear in to the Clone Theory once it arrives.

I just want to take off work and work on pedals.

Vintage ehx stuff is cool. I still want an old muff from the early 70s. A local store has one of those black finger pedals, no idea what it really does but it looks cool haha

One of those here on the craigslist too, interesting description of a compressor, but still don't think I'd want one.

I was gonna wait til tomorrow to say, but when I go back to that church tomorrow I'm picking up a rocktron intellipitch unit, not totally certain what all it does but the pitch shifting is supposed to be amazing and expression pedal controllable.

Hew guys I am a newb here and was after some info. I am looking at getting a Orange terror bass not sure on 500 or 1000 yet and am after some opinions on what cab to get. I have always played combos and this is my first step up and im a bit confused and a bit of a newbie. I was looking at all orange head and cab line up but have been told their are better cabs than orange and for better value too. I play stoner rock type music think kyuss, fu manchu, Monster Magnet etc.

Any recomendations or questions? I really want to get as good a rig for a couple of grand (Australia dollars) as I can.

Ive never used the orange terror line, but the guys here who have love them. I loved the ad200b and its supposedly the same tone minus the tubes. So go for it if you like it. I would say go 1000 because extra headroom and watts are never a bad thing for low and heavy. As for cabs, look for a used 810, or something... there are plenty of options.

I am not sure what import shipping and taxes would cost. But for me, I would pair that amp up with a greenboy Dually and call it a day. Hell you could get by with the TB500 just fine, and still never reach the limits of the amp.

I don't know, a Dually shipped to AUS may not exactly best bang for the buck, especially when you consider that you can't try before you buy. The resale value on the Greenboy cabs doesn't seem to be too great plus there is a very limited market for them. too risky an investment in my opinion.

I would look for something local that you can try before going the GB route.
